January 29 2023 - A Sunday afternoon walk

I didn't have much to do today which is the perfect Sunday. I had a few household chores to do but I had finished the major ones on Saturday.

I took the opportunity to go for a walk around the neighbourhood. The photo above is of a house on the old village green.

I found a new path that I had seen before but never taken. It took me through a small woodland that I didn't know existed. Not sure how I missed something so close to my house.

I walked about 5 km in the end. Here are a couple more photos from the walk.

It's always nice to take a new path that you have never explored! Beautiful cottage in the photo as well! Congratulations on your healthy 12 K @actifit trail exploring steps take care!

The cottage was probably a gatehouse back in the day. In the land behind it there used to be a big manor house that was like a palace. It was knocked down about 100 years ago. Always so much history in England!!

Its strange to find somewhere so close that you don't know exists. Its quite a hidden path and leads to a bit of woodland that is not easy to find. The path is not on the map either.
