Guide to the San Diego Padres Baseball

Season to begin April 1, 2023

2023 Preview for The San Diego Padres

The San Diego Padres are in a tough spot. They have a lot of work to do this offseason and they need to make some big decisions. They are in the middle of a rebuild and they have the potential to be really good again. But, it's going to take some time for them to get there.

The Padres have been looking ahead at their future roster for the next few years and it looks like they will be making some changes in the near future. They are going to try and build around their young players, but that means that they will need to trade away some veterans who can still contribute on a team at this point in their career.

Padres build on their young players

The Padres have a lot of young talent on their roster. They have the potential to be great players in the future and they are already showing signs of that.

Some of these players are Fernando Tatis Jr., Luis Urias, and Francisco Mejia. All three of these players are currently in their early 20’s and they all have a bright future ahead of them. They are doing well on the field and they will continue to show improvement as they get older.

The Padres also have two other young talents, Mackenzie Gore and Michel Baez. They both had successful seasons in college so it is likely that they will do well with the team if given an opportunity.

Recently Retired Padres Players

Padres players are retiring in droves this offseason, with the team announcing on Tuesday that they would not be bringing back eight players from their roster.

The Padres have announced that they will not be bringing back eight players from their roster. The team’s latest announcements include the retirement of four players, one player that the Padres traded to another club and three players who have been designated for assignment.

Padres pitcher Clayton Richard was one of those traded away to the Toronto Blue Jays, while outfielder Matt Szczur was designated for assignment.

I hope these changes bring good Tidings to the 2023 season!
