RE: Hive Fantasy World Cup - Quarter Final Preview

He claims Brazil will be found out in the latter stages. But maybe he has a point. The first test Friday. We will see.

Where I think Brazil might be found out is if they have to play against pace. I don't know how quick Marquinhos is but the rest of their back line (apart from Militao) is ageing somewhat. I've not really paid attention to how they defend as they've been having too much fun attacking (so I'll look more closely tomorrow) but I wouldn't be surprised if they defend fairly deep, cutting off space for runs in behind. Not really a problem against Croatia though.

I expect an upset here and Netherlands to go through.

Bore draw - Then I think Argentina are historically better at penalties 😉

After the penalty shootout and their overall performance Morocco's moral is high so I think they will go for it against Portugal. They have nothing to lose now.

Same again then with Bono the hero 😁

So I am predicting England in this game and they have an easy path to the final if they overcome the French.

Gulp! Beat France, lose to Morocco 🫢

With regards to Ronaldo, I heard that he was benched because he was caught swearing at the manager after getting subbed off against South Korea - so typical Ronaldo really. His benching lifted the pressure on the rest of the players - it's as though they thought "phew, we don't need to put it on a plate for that greedy..... any more". I'll be surprised if he starts another match.

It's all about Saturday night - If we can get past France, I'll start believing.

Manager only needed an excuse to bench Ronaldo and Ronaldo gave him it,. Now he claims he was giving out about a South Korean player but that's bullshit. Tarnished legacy from all this sulking. I understand your predictions. Argentina and Netherlands will be a true borefest

I don't think my predictions could have been more wrong.

Ronaldo's really screwed things up for himself. The issues he had at Man United could've been blamed on the manager like he tried to do prior to the World Cup. Now that he's done something similar for Portugal, I can't see a top club (i.e. Champions League) wanting him. He can't even pitch himself as a great role model for younger players any more!
