Taxi Driver by Day, Trail Explorer by Default
Let’s be real: today’s walk had the makings of a solid, long-distance nature adventure. The kind where you return home ready for a nap and a victory coffee. But plot twist—Dad Duty called. Literally. Halfway through, I was drafted into the ever-important role of family chauffeur.
Still, I managed to squeeze in a gorgeous 9km through wooded trails and alongside a canal that looked like it was painted for Instagram. Trees just starting to burst into that fresh, electric green. Patches of sunlight filtering through still-bare branches. And that moment when the forest stood still enough to reflect itself in the stream, chef’s kiss.
12,000 steps on the clock. Legs got moving, camera got its fill, and even if the route was cut short, the recharge was complete.
Note to self: every walk counts. Especially the ones that end with a steering wheel instead of a summit.
