Chasing Clouds, Catching Light
Today was a tale of two walks.
The first—midday, moody, and magnificently wet. I set out on my lunch break thinking, “It’s just a drizzle.” Ten minutes later, the sky made sure I knew it had other plans. And honestly? I loved it. The rain cleared the path of other walkers, amped up the greens, and gave the canal that rich, cinematic shimmer. Plus, walking fast in the rain? Instant movie protagonist energy.
Then came walk number two: the evening edition. The golden hour really understood the assignment. The light sliced through trees like a painter had dipped their brush in honey, and even the birds looked like they were vibing to a sunset playlist. Same path, totally different world.
Together, the walks added up to 14,000 steps and 12 kilometers. That’s more than numbers—it’s space to breathe, think, and feel grounded again. Some days you chase goals. Other days, you chase light (or outrun clouds). Today, I did both.
Lesson? Don’t wait for perfect weather. Just go.
Rain or shine, the world’s waiting—and it looks damn good doing it.
