Lunch Break, Rain Break, Mind Break
The skies were brooding, my calendar was packed, but today I flexed my favorite underrated muscle: the one for setting boundaries. Midday, I escaped for a quick walk—just me, the winding path, and clouds that seemed more dramatic than an office group chat. Spoiler: they weren’t bluffing. A few minutes in, the skies opened and I got absolutely drenched.
But here’s the thing—my brain felt lighter, my body felt alive, and even soggy shoes couldn’t ruin that reset. By evening, traffic was mercifully light. I cashed in the extra time for a second walk—this time dry, calm, and punctuated by the sound of wind in the trees instead of typing on keyboards.
Two walks, one soaked, one serene. Both worth it.

Kitties are always a nice thing to look at!! Even in an appartment! We have a new kitten in the house as well, a Sphynx!
But yup, work breaks in the park (or anywhere outside!) are always a good thing, and I try to take them as much as possible, otherwise my back tend to start to hurt real bad...
