Dodging Raindrops, Chasing Steps
Fridays usually mean one walk, then straight into weekend-mode chaos. But today? Today, the universe hit shuffle on my schedule—and boom, I squeezed in two walks instead of one.
The catch? Rain. Lots of it.
It didn’t just rain—it threatened, teased, dumped, and then ghosted, only to come back five minutes later. So I became the weather whisperer, dodging downpours like I was in some kind of slow-motion action film—except with more waterproof layers and fewer explosions.
All said and done: 15,000 steps. Nearly 12km. And a whole lot of unexpected peace.
Moral of the story? When your plans get rerouted, walk the detour. Sometimes, it’s even better than what you had in mind.

We used to have a Canon EOS 5X macro lens, so 5 times lifesize. That was amazing!!! Unfortunately we had to sell it at a certain moment a few years ago, in order to feed the kids... And now, when I could buy it back again, it is no longer in stock...

Still have the regular macro lens :-) Well, not still, same story, but have been able to replace that one already :-) So we keep looking for the 5x lens on the secondhand market… :-)
