Today Belgium decided to crank up the heat, again. Officially our second heatwave of 2025. Aka: that kind of day where standing still makes you sweat and walking feels like a solo audition for Survivor.
But I did it anyway. Not once, twice.
Walk 1: high noon, melting sidewalks, and my best impression of a human toaster.
Walk 2: post-dinner, golden light dripping over the canal, trees whispering some well-earned praise. I walked, I swore at the humidity, I stopped for photos that somehow made it all feel… perfect.

Nature showed off big time tonight. And while my shirt could’ve been wrung out like a sponge, the 14,000 steps felt like a full-body exhale. It’s these walks, sweaty, stubborn, serene, that remind me why I keep showing up.
