Steps, Sunlight & Sanity
You ever finish a meeting and think, “If I sit here one more minute, I might merge with my chair permanently”? That was me today.
So I did the unthinkable: I logged out. Grabbed my coat, my phone (Teams, still lurking just in case), and my camera (well, it was included in my iPhone, so double win), and bolted for the outdoors like a kid chasing the last ice cream truck of summer. What followed was 12km in total of unplanned bliss. A symphony of brisk air, distant geese, and golden sunlight bouncing off the canal like it was auditioning for a postcard. My face soaked up that sun like it hadn’t seen daylight in days (it hadn’t).
Photography-wise? Jackpot. That light? Chef’s kiss. The reflections in the water were so still they could’ve been a mirror marketed by Apple (iMirror with sunset included!) . The bare trees lined up like patient sentinels. And just when I thought it couldn’t get better, boom, a fiery orb of a sunset snuck behind a silhouette of trees. I couldn’t have scripted it better.
By the time I got back from my second walk, I’d clocked 13,000 steps, a completely reset brain, and a camera roll application so full I had to delete yesterday’s memes. Not a bad trade for a missed Teams ping or two.
Mental health? Rebooted.
Skin? Glowing.
Soul? Slightly smug.
Call it fitness. Call it therapy. I call it a damn good decision.

Yesterday was a wonderful break no rain in sight!!!
Today is Thanksgiving day, and we are thankful we are inside it is a cold drizzling day.....
That's OK, I'm spending the day with the Mrs.!😍
