Working
Today was one of those beautifully weird days.
A working day… that also happens to be Christmas Day.
Deadlines in the morning, festive vibes in the background, and a quiet agreement with myself that I’d sneak in something extra during lunch. Not because I had to, but because I could. So I laced up and headed out for 6.6km along the canal.
The cold was sharp. The kind that wakes you up properly.
Winter light danced across the water, bare trees stretching into a sky so blue it almost felt unfair for December. Every reflection felt earned. No filters needed, just patience and timing.
Somewhere along the route, a goose stood like it owned the place. Chest out. Zero fear. Full confidence. Honestly? Respect. If that’s not peak Christmas energy, I don’t know what is.
These walks aren’t about burning off meals or earning dessert. They’re about space. About reminding myself that movement is a privilege, not a punishment. About stacking small wins on days that already feel full.
Now the shoes are off.
Family time is loading.
Good food is guaranteed.
Warm hearts will do the rest.
Wishing you all a Christmas filled with love, calm moments, and maybe, if you can, a little fresh air too. Even if it’s stone-cold outside. 🎄❄️

It was a wonderful Christmas, my friend, we got to see our four month old baby granddaughter. It had been a while!🥰
