Long struggle with depression. A few things that work - talk to two people (shops is an easy way to do that), exercise (taking a camera helps) and SMALL wins. When I am really struggling that becomes a good win especially if you get credit from the people around you for doing it. The other simple is to pick rubbish on the street and out it in a bin. I do a lot of that. Nobody else does it.
