¡Qué alegría poder compartir con nuestra comunidad ajedrecística una vez más!
Este domingo 19 de septiembre se realizó el 2do Torneo de la Liga de ajedrez Chess Brothers, un evento que hemos venido llevando a cabo con el mejor de los ánimos y que ha contado con la colaboración de todos nuestros seguidores y personas afines, quienes son los que hacen posible esta extraordinaria tarea de masificación ajedrecística. El ajedrez es como un lenguaje universal: tiene la capacidad de reunir a personas de cualquier parte del mundo y de distintas condiciones, y sumergilas en una batalla intelectual. Sin duda el ajedrez tiene esa virtud de unir a las masas en un solo movimiento; es la pasión por el deporte ciencia y creemos que ese ha sido nuestro caso también ya que Chess Brothers ha logrado vincular a jugadores de distintas banderas, distintas zonas horarias, distintas longitudes.
En este segundo torneo pudimos tener un incremento de jugadores con respecto al anterior, reclutando 15 nuevos miembros para un total de 24 jugadores congregados desde la distancia. Estos ajedrecistas, de variada procedencia en varios continentes, desplegaron sus conocimientos sobre el tablero de ajedrez, logrando hacer de este evento uno de los más fuertes y diversos que nuestra comunidad ha podido contemplar.
En cuanto a los resultados, el implacable jugador @tungphong (@blackswan21 en Lichess) logró ratificar su liderato en lo que va de LACB. En efecto, con dos oros seguidos el jugador de Vietnam se anota como líder solitario de la tabla de posiciones al materializar 6 puntos de 7 posibles (6 victorias y dos tablas), logrando la asaña al culminar el torneo de manera invicta no obstante haber enfrentado una aguerrida oposición.
El segundo puesto lo conquistó @samostically (ZGM_Samostically en Lichess), el jugador de Nigeria quien rozó el Olimpo al conseguir 5,5 unidades (5 victorias, 1 tabla y una derrota), separándose del campeón por solo medio punto.
Por su parte, el tercer lugar lo ocupó el experimentado jugador venezolano @enrriquerivas (@l1nux en Lichess), quien, en caso de que no supieras, es un representante de la selección venezolana de personas con discapacidad visual. Se hizo con el bronce al contabilizar 5 puntos (4 victorias, dos tablas y una derrota por incomparecencia).
Supimos que muchos jugadores venezolanos se vieron afectados por problemas de electricidad, lo cual es grave para los resultados considerando que se trata de ajedrez online. Aún así hicieron lo posible por participar en el torneo y compartir amenamente en el chat junto con todos los demás.

Comprobante de pago del 1er Torneo
Con el post anterior se reunieron 3.08 HBD líquidos, los cuales fueron distribuidos en partes iguales a los cinco mejores jugadores que participaron del torneo pasado y poseían cuenta en HIVE.
Esta información es de carácter público y puede ser consultada en la cadena de bloques para así verificar la transparencia de las transacciones. Ahora bien, originalmente se planeó premiar a los jugadores al finalizar cada torneo, pero debido a la gran receptividad que hemos tenido, hemos decidido otorgar premios adicionales a los ganadores finales de la liga. ¡Mantengamos el ritmo!

Una mirada al 2do torneo de la Primera liga de Chess Brothers y sus partidas
A pesar de los inconvenientes presentados por el asunto del servicio eléctrico, el equipo de Chess Brothers hizo posible la transmisión en directo del 2do torneo de la liga. Pueden conseguir aquí el streaming completo en español vía Facebook y también observar una porción interesante en el video que acompaña este post.
Como se mencionó al principio, hubo un aumento del número de jugadores y aunando a ello pudimos apreciar que el nivel de juego aumentó en gran medida. Muchas partidas producidas en este torneo reflejan un gran nivel técnico.
Por ejemplo, estuvimos siguiendo muy de cerca durante el streaming la partida entre @blackswan21 y @tony1294 de la última ronda. Ambos jugadores estaban en un tremendo apuro de tiempo, por lo que debían tomar decisiones sumamente importantes y críticas con escasos segundos en el reloj. Parecía que @blackswan21 se iba a llevar el punto puesto que sus peones estaban a punto de coronar y con ello su primer lugar estaría más que asegurado, pero el jugador de piezas negras encontró un recurso tan elegante como efectivo y que había estado tramando:
En esta posición, las negras acaban de jugar 35... Tf3+ planteando fuertes amenazas contra el rey blanco. El primer jugador realiza la natural 36. Rxg2, lo cual resulta en un error que le cuesta medio punto, pues el jugador de piezas negras puede dar jaque perpetuo y salvar la partida en un final de infarto. Se jugó 36... Tg5+ 37. Rh2 Th5 38. Rg2 Tg5+ y tras la repetición de jugadas ambos ejércitos hicieron las paces.
Otra partida que despertó mucho el interés de los espectadores fue la de @stayoutoftherz y FCastro. Fue una contienda que tuvo numerosas tácticas y donde las blancas ejercieron una fuerte presión posicional desde el principio. No obstante, el negro se las arregló para sobrevivir la apertura y la mayoría del mediojuego, pudiendo incluso quedar mejor en cierto momento. Tras 41 jugadas alcazaron esta posición:
La valoración es un poco incierta puesto que ambos bandos parecen estar bien posicionados: el caballo en e5 es una pieza bastante fuerte que controla casillas importantes, mientras que el alfil en d2 no tiene una ruta clara para poder desplegar todo su potencial. El tema más crítico es la torre negra situada en a2 que parece estar al borde de la asfixia. Era jugada única 41... Ta3, manteniendo a la torre viva y un punto de coincidencia con d3 como vía de escape auxiliada por su caballo colega. Sin embargo, el negro juega erráticamente 41... Ta4?? dejando por completo a su torre en un callejón sin salida. La partida continuó 42. Rb2 Cc4+ 43. Rb3 b5 44. axb6 Cxb6 45. Txg5 y el blanco no tuvo problemas para materializar esta partida con una gran ganancia material.

Convocatoria y condiciones técnicas de la Liga 1 - torneo 3
Se realizará en Lichess.org.
Fecha y hora domingo 26 de septiembre a las 19 GMT (3pm hora Venezuela).
Modalidad de torneo suizo (debes unirte al equipo de Chess Brothers en Lichess.org).
Se jugará a 7 rondas a un ritmo de juego blitz 3+2 (tres minutos más dos segundos de incremento para toda la partida).
Los primeros 8 puestos de cada torneo acumulan 10, 8, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1 puntos respectivamente.
El sistema de desempate para el torneo será el que determine Lichess.
Se premiará a los primeros cinco lugares del torneo con las recompensas líquidas que reúna este post, repartidas en parte iguales. Los usuarios deben poseer cuenta en Hive y en caso de que no estén entre los jugadores confirmados o conocidos (ver más abajo, por ejemplo), entonces deberán comunicar sus cuentas de Hive y Lichess en los comentarios de este post antes de jugar el torneo.

FIRST CHESS BROTHERS LEAGUE: Report and Analysis of the Second Tournament and New Invitation 💪♟

What a pleasure to be able to share with our chess community once again!
This Sunday September 19 was held the 2nd Chess Brothers Chess League Tournament, an event that we have been carrying out with the best of spirits and that has had the collaboration of all our followers and like-minded people, who are the ones who make possible this extraordinary task of chess massification. Chess is like a universal language: it has the power to bring together people from all over the world and from different walks of life, and immerse them in an intellectual battle. Undoubtedly chess has that virtue of bringing the masses together in a single movement; it is the passion for the science sport and we believe that this has been our case as well since Chess Brothers has managed to link players from different flags, different time zones, different longitudes.
In this second tournament we were able to have an increase in players from the previous one, recruiting 15 new members for a total of 24 players gathered from the distance. These chess players, from various origins in several continents, displayed their knowledge on the chessboard, making this event one of the strongest and most diverse that our community has been able to contemplate.
As for the results, the relentless player @tungphong (@blackswan21 in Lichess) managed to ratify his leadership so far in league. Indeed, with two golds in a row, the player from Vietnam is the solitary leader of the standings after scoring 6 points out 7 (5 wins and two draws), achieving the feat by finishing the tournament undefeated despite having faced a tough opposition.
Second place went to @samostically (ZGM_Samostically on Lichess), the player from Nigeria, who came close to Olympus with 5.5 points (5 wins, 1 draw and 1 loss), separating himself from the champion by only half a point.
Meanwhile, third place went to the experienced Venezuelan player @enrriquerivas (@l1nux on Lichess), who, in case you didn't know, is a representative of the Venezuelan national team for the visually impaired. He took bronze by tallying 5 points (4 wins, two draws and one loss due to absence).
We learned that many Venezuelan players were affected by power problems, which is something serious for the results considering that this is online chess. Even so, they did their best to participate in the tournament and share pleasantly in the chat with everyone else.

1st Tournament Payout
With the previous post 3.08 liquid HBD were collected, which were distributed equally to the top five players who participated in the last tournament and also had a HIVE account.
This information is public and can be consulted on the blockchain to verify the transparency of the transactions. Now, we originally planned to reward players at the end of each tournament, but due to the great receptivity we have had, we have decided to award additional prizes to the final winners of the league. Let's keep up the pace!

A Look at the Tournament and its Games
Despite the inconveniences experienced due to the electrical service issue, the Chess Brothers team made it possible to live stream the 2nd tournament. You can get here the complete streaming in Spanish via Facebook and also watch an interesting portion in the video that comes along with this post (in Spanish) thanks to Threespeak.
As mentioned at the beginning, we had an increase in the number of players, but we also noticed that the level of play increased greatly. Many games produced in this tournament reflect a great technical level. Let's have a closer look.
For example, during the streaming we were following very closely the game between @blackswan21 and @tony1294 of the last round. Both players were in a tremendous time pressure, so they had to make extremely important and critical decisions with mere seconds on the clock. It seemed that @blackswan21 was going to take the full point since his pawns were about to promote and with that his first place would be more than secured, but the player with black pieces found a resource as elegant as effective and that he definitely must have been cooking up!
In this position, black has just played 35... Rf3+, posing some threats against the white king. The white pieces player plays the natural 36. Kxg2, which results in a mistake that costs him half a point, as black can give perpetual check and save the game in a heart-stopping endgame. The game continued 36... Rg5+ 37. Kh2 Rh5 38. Kg2 Rg5+ and after the repetition of moves both armies made peace.
Another game that attracted a lot of interest from the spectators was @stayoutoftherz and FCastro. It was a contest that had numerous tactics and where white applied strong positional pressure from the start. However, black managed to survive the opening and most of the middlegame and even seemed to be better at one point. After 41 moves they reached this position:
The assessment is a bit uncertain since both sides seem to be well situated: the knight on e5 is a fairly strong piece controlling important squares, while the bishop on d2 has no clear path to be able to deploy its full potential. The most critical issue is the black rook on a2 which seems to be on the verge of suffocation. Right now, the only playable move was 41. Ra3, keeping the rook alive and with an eye on d3 as an escape route aided by its fellow knight. However, black played erratically 41. Ra4? completely leaving his rook in a dead end. The game continued 42. Kb2 Nc4+ 43. Kb3 b5 44. axb6 Nxb6 45. Rxg5 and white had no trouble materializing this game with a big material advantage.

Date and time Sunday, September 26th at 19 GMT (3pm Venezuelan time).
Swiss tournament (you must join the Chess Brothers team at Lichess.org).
7 rounds with time control blitz 3+2 (three minutes plus two seconds increment for the whole game).
The first 8 places in each tournament will accumulate 10, 8, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1 points respectively.
The tie-breaking system for the tournament will be as determined by Lichess.
The first five places of the tournament will be awarded with the liquid rewards collected in this post, allocated in equal parts. Users must have a Hive account and in case they are not among the confirmed or known players (see below, for example), then they must let us know their Hive and Lichess accounts in the comments of this post before playing the tournament.

Hi! Good to see you here. The terms for the first league established that the time control would be 3+2 and we're sticking to them for now. This league has four tournaments and this post is the call for the third one. Next league we're going to vary the time control for sure. As for the berserk, that's not possible so far as these are Swiss tournaments.
Hola, es bueno verte aquí! Los términos para la primera liga estipularon que el control de tiempo sería 3+2 y nos estamos ateniendo a ellos por los momentos. Esta liga consta de cuatro torneos y este post es el llamado al tercero de ellos. En la próxima liga de seguro variaremos el control de tiempo. En cuanto a lo del berserk, eso no es posible hasta ahora ya que estos son torneos suizos.
I enjoyed the tournament,the timing was perfect, strong competition,i was lucky to draw my last game and finished second..I would love to stream while playing the next one.
