The European Group Stages start this week with 4 Belgian Teams who take part in them bringing 24 matches to bet on in total at least. Club Brugge kicks things off tonight in the Champions League at home against Bayer Leverkusen. Club Brugge vs Bayer Leverkusen

Club Brugge (154M) on paper has a deceptively easy draw with no big names Porto (248M) / Atletico Madrid (651M) / Bayer Leverkusen (477M). The fact is that these kinds of teams never come underestimating a team like Club Brugge while they rarely but never get 4th place in previous Group Stages. Today at home against Leverkusen who come from Pot 3, in theory, it's the easiest match from all of them. Club Brugge can be seen as a team that is rightfully taking part in the Champions League, they are quite a bit ahead of the competition in the Belgian League but certainly not without flaws. Their defense has shown to be vulnerable and so far overly had to rely on goalkeeper Mignolet who has excellent form while Mata got injured last weekend. In the midfield and the offense, they have plenty of options but some more time is needed for the team to totally be played into each other while I see their rookie coach as also one of the weaker points of the team. Bayer Leverkusen has triple the budget but they have taken a bad start in the league only ranking 14th which is something that doesn't always shine through as this is a totally different competition. Looking at the past 2 years in the 1st match of the group stage when 2 teams that don't have a big name play each other, they resultd in 8 out of 14 in a draw which makes perfect sense and none of the teams want to start off with a loss. Leverkusen on paper being the better team most likely will sign for this in an away match while traditionally taking a draw can be seen as a solid result and oftentimes a stunt for a Belgian team. For these reasons, I had to go for 0.2 units on Draw @ 4.25 which I see more as a numbers play just really liking the odds. All other betting action will be done live if there will be any going in with a totally open mind.
