Not the best start of the playoffs making a -0.7 unit loss on Saturday matches put plenty of games that yet have to be played starting with 3 that are scheduled today...

Club Brugge vs FC Antwerp

The form of these teams at the end of the regular season was totally opposite with Club Brugge being on a winning big winning streak playing quite well without overly impressing and Antwerp not really playing well also getting lucky not to have dropped out of Playoff 1. Club Brugge is complete while Antwerp will be without Verstraete and Engels. The home win if anything would be by far the most probably outcome in this match but it still needs to be played. I do expect Club Brugge to come out with the intention to start the match strong and they are the best 1H team in the league both home and away. I took an initial 0.2 unit bet on Club Brugge 1H -0.5 @ 2.12 and will see where I can add in game from there on out.

AA Gent vs Racing Genk

AA Gent won the cup last weekend making it so that they don't really have anything to play for anymore. They also picked up some injuries in Depoitre & Hulsjager who will be out for the rest of the season but overall it looks like Coach Vanhaezebroeck has the intentions to field the A-Squad and the players from what he told still look motivated to continue the good streak. Based on the reasoning that they have nothing to play for having partied during the week after the cup final, I took an early bet on Genk +0.5 @ 1.995 for 0.35 units and Genk 1H +0.25 @ 1.847 for 0.05 units. The injury news pushed the price down a lot making for a nice risk-free arbitrage opportunity of around +6% ROI on the original stake which is what I middling the position with AA Gent -0.5 @ 2.168 for 0.32 units and AA Gent 1H -0.25 @ 2.25 for 0.043 units. This gives combined gives a Position on AA Gent, Draw or Racing Genk @ 1.065 which was all shared on the SBC Discord while I was taking the bets. Genk Dissapointed this season and the only way for their season to succeed is to still win Playoff 2 where they are 5 points behind on AA Gent. Pretty much they will need to take risk andgo for the win while AA Gent should be able to fully play stress-free. Playoff 2 has been crazy overish in the last years even though the first match yesterday did not confirm this and AA Gent has been able to count on a rock-solid defense. Recent encounters between these teams also have not really been goal fest. For that reason I'm just keeping a potential over bet with high odds as a strong lean going into this match waiting to see how things look first.

Union vs Anderlecht

With the halving of the points at the start of the playoffs, there has been a big trend where the team in a rather big lead gets knocked on the head making them have a bad start in the playoffs because they saw their deserved lead shrink like crazy. Union who is the surprise underdog promoted team who won the championship started showing slight signs of decline near the end of the season especially being unable to win at home in 4 of their 5 last games. Anderlecht have shown good signs near the end of the season with some excellent performances but they were hit by nerves in the last match where they needed th win which they eventually took to be in playoff 1 and they also didn't really impress in the cup match. They certainly have the capabilities but it remains the question if this will manifest today. They did lose their 2 matches against Union who have played well against top teams. In the last encounter a defelected ball sealed a 1-0 win for Union in what was a boring 1st half and a more attractive 2nd half. I pretty much had set to oppose Union for a while in their 1st playoff match and the fact that they have been struggling at home while Anderlecht in general has played quite good justified a 0.27 unit bet on Anderlecht +0.25 @ 1.830. The situation now is quite complex with Anderlecht not really convincing in their last 2 matches having to bounce back from the cup loss. Stakes will be insanely high in this match as it is highly important for both teams.
