Not the start when it comes down to betting what I anticipated in the Super Cup and the first European matches which I partly missed due to poor broadcasting coverage. So I'm pretty much starting the season with a small loss but still good hopes and really looking forward to the many matches that are to come including tonight in the match between Antwerp & Union
Antwerp vs Union
When it comes down to Antwerp, the president some years back put a lot of money into the team, mainly attracting experienced players who pulled it off to take the title. However, this model was not financially sustainable so they went the complete opposite route of trying to get young players who they potentially can sell for a lot more. This lack of funds also marked the 'downfall' of Antwerp in the last 2 years and it only really looks like this will continue this way. They don't have European Football this season, which might help them to still do ok this season and maybe surprise later on. They also have a new coach with limited experience and their 2 main transfers are Somers & Foulom while they lost Chery, Deman, Odoi, Bataille, and Alderweireld are gone. So a new coach and some new players might require some time to get things going. Union and Club Brugge just a couple months ago were head and shoulders above the competition and not all too much has changes. They kept their coach, and mostmy lost Sadiki along with Machida and Morris while Ivanovic likely won't play due to an upcoming transfer. Still their team remains pretty strong and despite losing the Super Cup To Club Brugge, they made an impression where it looks like they are ready. I am expecting a fairly straightforward match tonight with Union as the team with too much quality not to overcome this away game. Antwerp has an ok starting 11 but their bench currelty looks weak which might cause problems later in matches. I already took earlier this week 0.242 units on
