Great start to the new year making +0.726 units profit in the match between Standard and Sint-Truiden which more or less played out exactly as anticipated. I'm feeling quite confident right now and see quite some nice edges on the market (at least that's what I believe). I already took a couple bets all shared as always in the SBC Discord channel. 4 Matches today and I'm highly looking forward to them...
AS Eupen vs Charleroi
This is a match between the 12th and 13th in the league with both teams having 19 points. Both teams have not really been convincing this season and they recently got a new coach. Especially Mazzu at Charleroi is interesting as I do see him implement his old success formula of breaking down the opponent and scoring a goal on the counter more than often resulting in a 1-0 score if they manage to win. Their last match which was played at home against Anderlecht ended in a 0-1 loss in the 85th minute. I just don't expect this to be the wide open end-to-end match with the finishing quality and goals likely will need to come from bad defending. I took 0.4 units on

Cercle Brugge vs Westerlo
Westerlo has been a pretty good team all season long and Cercle after their coach change a while back as a really good streak which put them out of trouble. This however mostly playing against all the weakest teams but their performances have been solid and they picked up confidence. These teams are just 1 point apart from each other and have nothing to fear which should make this into an entertaining match since both are also forward-minded teams that want to play. They are no strangers to really high scorelines with the previous 2 matches of Westerlo ending in a 3-3 and 6-0 score. This also goes for the corners with Cercle averaging 12.4 in their last 5 and Westerlo at 9.8 with the last 2 away matches each going to 12 or more. I did take pre-game bets of 0.3 units on
Over 3.5 @ 3.032 and also 0.256 units on

Oostende vs Seraing
Seraing still is dead last in the league but they haven't been that bad on the road actually beating their Asian handicaps going 5.5W-3L while having way more goals there going 6W-2L-1P on the over away. Overall they remain one of the worst teams in the league and the main candidate for relegation. Oostende has showed a lot more potential which hasn't always come out so far. They played an ok 1st half against Union but a weak 2nd half resulting in a 3-0 loss and the cup match before they actually were quite good not being outplayed by Union. On Paper, Oostende should be better but I'm not sure if I'm willing to gamble on 1.9 type odds for an outright win as the goals still need to be made. I will keep my eye out for some confimation and I do expect this to be a match where Oostende has the initiative while Seraing lays back and lures on the counters. Oostende on the corners in the 1st half the the closes I am to taking as a bet, for now

Antwerp vs AA Gent
This is a direct duel between teams who fight for a top 4 Playoff-1 spot. AA Gent has been in a better form taking 3 wins and 2 draws in their last 5 matches while Antwerp who have a lot of missings haven't won in their last 5 games booking 3 draws in recently. This is also fully reflected in the odds but I'm not jumping on AA Gent as they also haven't yet shown the dominance they had at times last season. If anything, I would say to odds are overly weighed toward them making me lean on Antwerp who still play at home. It's not enough though to pull any triggers. I see the chance bigger for this to be a more tactical game as opposed to a wide-open match with many goals but it's also not something I'm willing to gamble on at current odds as I could really go either way.
