Kv Mechelen vs Racing Genk

Mechelen took a much-needed win last week at home against a poor Antwerp starting that match with an offensive line-up and a drive forward which gave them the deserved 1-0 lead after 11 minutes. However, as they always do, they crawled fully back afterward and were rather fortunate to finish the match on the counter in minute 64'. They are currently back in Playoff 1 but with 6 weeks to go it feels like history is bound to happen again with them falling short at the end. The reality also is that they have taken way more points this season compared to what they put on the pitch. In fact, in theexpected points ranking, they are actually dead last with 24 points (9 less than they got) inidcating that they don't really belong that high in the standings. Genk on the other hand is 5th in those standings with 33 points showing that they get 4 points less compared to what they deserved. It is starting to show that they had a coach change as the main weakness of defensive vulnerability seems more or less fixed. This however does come at the cost of offensive impulses and they are playing more mature and patient trying to have control without blindly going forward waiting for the chances that they always get. A win for both teams here would be huge as they are direct opponents for a playoff 1 spot. Mechelen needs to look down while Genk can look up which tends to be better for the overall mentality in the match as there is a clea missing. A draw for both teams would not be the end of the world. Overall I see Genk as the team with way more quality, a much better bench, a better streak and form and was willing to back them for 0.6 units on Genk -0.25 @ 1.900 leaving me with some space to possibly take more in-game in case Mechelen would score the 1st goal. Mechelen so far this season against Top teams has lost every single corners matchup, they also always crawl back when they are in the league so as a little cover bet I took 0.1 unit on Genk 1st Half Corners +0 @ 1.909 & 0.1 unit on Genk FT Corners +0 @ 1.911
