Pretty frustrating Saturday where things could have gone a lot better but at the same time also limiting the overall damage as I have been keeping my stakes low. I'll see how it goes today in the 4 remaining matches.
Club Brugge vs Anderlecht
Anderlecht actually didn't look that bad last week against Union despite playing with 1 all match. Overall they remain in a situation where things aren't coming easy though and the overall player quality isn't up to the level of the top teams. Club Brugge with their new coach and new system that they have to learn mostly showed good mentality on the pitch last week while players and the team in general just doesn't have the best form. Jutgla is injured and Sylla suspended while Mata seems to be on the bench with the new coach. Overall Club Brugge clearly is the team with much more individual talent and not many players of Anderlecht would be on the sheet if a team would be made with both player bases combined. That being said, I'm leaning more toward Anderlecht as the +0.75 underdog just purely on their performance recently. Club Brugge however remains the best 1H home team with 7W-3D-0L while Anderlecht away in the first half in 1W-4D-4L. I'm staying away from this match.
No Pre-Game Bets
AA Gent vs Kortrijk
AA Gent is not in a good spot right now after losing without chance in the cup match with 4-0 against Union and the week before against Antwerp with 3-0. In their last home match, they also didn't get further than 0-0 against Standard. The big topic right now is their lack of scoring power. Kortrijk is fighting a relegation battle but recently started to take points playing better but also by no means good. They also played a cup match and were unlucky to get eliminated against Mechelen. AA Gent remains a solid 1H team ranked 4th while Kortrijk is dead last there with 0W-4D-5L away from home. All last 6 off the away matches from Kortrijk went to 10 corners or more and on average they created 5.7 corners there. AA Get doesn't stand out in corners. I might take some on Kortrijk +4 corners at the start and maybe some more in case AA Gent starts with an offensive creating some initial corners. I did go for a cautious 0.15 unit pre-game bet on

Union vs Antwerp
Union had and off day last week in the league when they were without key player Teuma despite still winning against 10 players of Anderlecht in the end. In the cup they managed to score an early 1-0 on the counter which gave them an easy match against AA Gent. Antwerp despite some missings has been quite impressive again lately, they knocked out Racing Genk in the cup with a 0-3 win and they also put up a solid performance against Gent winning 2-0. Right now, Antwerp are high on my list of teams to back and I'm happy to take them as the underdog. I took 0.4 units on
Antwerp +0.25 @ 2.065. It might be one of those matches where both teams fear the counter resulting in play without mush risk in it which also reflects in the total line. Union did get at least 1 goal against in 5 of their last 6 matches while Antwerp scored 2 or more in their last 4 league matches. Antwerp team total is also on my radar. Key defender Burgess will be suspended for Union. Both teams are close in 2nd and 3rd making it so that a draw for both would not be the end of the world.
Charleroi vs Cercle Brugge
Charleroi if anything showed excellent team spirit in their match against Eupen which they ended up winning wit 1-2 and it could have gone both ways. It wasn't the usual counter-style game that they played compared to the previous term when Mazzu was their coach which makes me more cautious on the 1-0 correct score gambles. I still went for it again as planned before with a 0.1 unit bet on
Correct Score 1-0 @ 9.900. Cercle Brugge had a great run against weak opponents which I managed to ride with systematic bets on them. Things now have cooled down a bit now and they have been less impressive in their recent matches. I still see them as the overall team with more quality compared to Charleroi. I plan to wait it out and see how it goes.
