Genk vs Cercle Brugge

Genk in a way is in a similar position to AA Gent where multiple key players are gone to the Afrika Cup. They are without El Khannous, Fadera, Paintsil who all bring a lot of creativity and speed and most likely will be missed offensively. Cercle Brugge fell out of the top 6 and also miss 3 players who otherwise would be starters with Siquet / Ravych / Francis. They still play their annoying style for the opponents with a lot of press kicking many balls forward. So far this season this resulted in a record of 12.5W-3L-3.5P on the Under line especially away from home. Genk tends to be an over team at home but the offensive missings and the opponent of today aren't really in the 6W-3L stats on their home overs. I took 0.25 units on Under 3 @ 1.826 along with 0.05 units on 1st Half Under 1.25 @ 1.810. Genk remains the deserved favorite despite the missings mainly because I haven't been that impressed by Cercle overall. It will most likely be a very difficult match for Genk though.

Standard vs Kortrijk

This is a match between 2 teams who just had a coach change. Standard is still without Alzate and Ngoy and the lack of money makes it hard for them to do many transfers which are needed. It can be expected that they continue to struggle in 2024 going forward unless Leko pulls some kind of miracle. He should be more forward-oriented which was one of the reasons he got replaced in Antwerp for a more defensive style. The line-up and strategy remain a guess. For Kortrijk, everything points toward them being a sure relegation team as the overall quality has not been good enough. It remains to be seen how much the coach change will have an effect along with a possible fearless mindset of having nothing to lose and everything to win. My lean is on a match where both teams want and try to go forward but I don't have enough confidence right now in their offensive qualities to actually take a bet and would also need to get some confirmation first. Club Brugge vs Westerlo

Club Brugge played a cup match on Wednesday against AA Gent who missed a lot of players. Despite winning, they never really convinced especially in the 2nd half after already being in the lead. They do however have the quality to blow a team like Westerlo away. Westerlo with their new coach got in a good streak taking 10/12 which got them out of the relegation spots. They are a team that I'm looking at to possibly back going forward. Stassin got injured which leaves them with limited options in the offense as Friga, Vaesen & Chadli also are injured and Bos is gone for interlands. For me the most likely scores are 2-0 or 3-1 and I took 0.06 units on Correct Score 2-0 @ 7.840 & 0.04 units on Correct Score 3-1 @ 12.237 for combined around 3.8 odds. I do expect Club Brugge to try and make the difference early on.
