So far this week was down an up again as I lost over 0.5 units on the Champions League match getting things wrong on Marseille while I did recover it all and more in the League match yesterday between La Louviere and AA Gent mainly on the corners market. Saturday feels like one where I missed out on the early lines which limits my moves now to take many pre-game positions. So I'm expecting most of the action to be in-game today.

Cercle Brugge vs Antwerp

Cercle Brugge recently has been playing more to their potential and are without a loss in the last 4 matches. At the same time, it's not that they all of a sudden are putting up excellent performances. Last week, they were helped by Genk who crawled back and a late goal for them making the 1-4. Away against Westerlo they took a deserved 0-2 win after a good 1st half after which they succeeded in keeping the defense closed down. At home against Union they took a deserved 2-2 and showed that they can be backed as a team which I have done in the past games. Today they are up against Antwerp who have totally lost if after a brief revival when they changed their coach. They are coming off a 0-2 Home loss against Charleroi where the home support was just underwhelming. In week 20 they took a flattering win against Zulte at home which was the sign for me to start opposing them especially in away matches. This was followed by a loss away against Dender as they did not get much going offensively. So a team who I'm willing to back against a team I'm willing to oppose with a -0.25 line at 1.85+ odds which I could have taken early at ok stakes but I procrastinated and odds fell quite a bit down to a point where I'm not willing to chase them. Cercle Brugge is a team with a big divergence in Over home matyches and under away matches while Antwerp is the opposite at a whopping 0W-10L against the away over. There was a video going around last week of a kid asking Captain Janssen why it looks that they don't put in any effort which might be a thing that triggers them this match. All combined though, Antwerp overall lacks quality and most of all form. I'm going in with a lean on Cercle Brugge but at the current odds I'm staying away. I do have a small lean on the Under 10 corners line as Antwperp only once went over that in an away match but I will wait to see what it gives early on in the match. No Pre-Game Bets

Zulte-Waregem vs Westerlo

These are 2 teams who are currently just above the playdowns zone at 26 & 25 points with the hope team baving a slight better form as Westerlo failed to win in their last 3 matches. Zulte last week suffered a 90% posession for Brugge in the 1st half but managed to hold them off and miraculously were in a 1-2 lead to eventually lose it with a 4-3 score. The week before at home against Genk, they played the best match of their season and won with a 2-1 despite falling 0-1 behind while the week before they deserved more against Antwerp. Westerlo last week took a draw against Mechelen at just 0.94xg while the opponent had 2.58xg. The week before at home against Cercle, they were not good enough losing 0-2 which was the same score the week before away against Gent where they tried at a 2-0 score but didn't have enough to pose much danger. They did lose Rommens who when he was injured a while ago and not in the team caused somewhat of a losing streak for them. Purely based on the performance of Zulte in their last Home match and the fact that Westerlo has shown not to be good enough, I took 0.25 units on Zulte-Waregem +0 @ 1.847 & 0.15 units on Zulte-Waregem 1st Half +0 @ 1.814. I'm also leaning toward Zulte on the 1st Half & FT corners but I'm waiting to potentially take those in-game. This potentially could be an open match with goals but I need to wait and see how things look first.

Sint-Truiden vs Charleroi

These are the 2 'overperforming' mid-table teams of the moment with Stvv sitting in 2nd place in the standings which isn't even undeserved and Charleroi recently climbing to place 7 with an eye on Playoff 1 after winning 3 matches in a row. So it's an unusaul spot that doesn't happen that often and I have a hard time putting a finger of what potentially might happen. Generally i prefer the team who is looking up instead of down so Charleroi as the +0.5 underdog at 1.8+ odds was on my radar. Similar to Cercle howevern I fumbled and didn't take it early while that line and those odds are gone now. Stvv who lost Van Helden was rather lucky last week away against La Louviere and they also were the underdog in that match before kick-off. There are still some players who are rumoured to be transferred which might play a negative role in theor focus. At the current odds, I'm just going to wait and see what happens. My main angle is that the team who takes the lead likely will crawl back a bit too much which might give an opportunity to take a corners bet on the opponent as both should be ok when it comes down to defending the lead which brings more chance of corners than goals.
