I'm quite pleased with the match yesterday as the result was very positive even though in the end it all did kind of feel like a coinflip that could have gone both ways and odds that weren't really off that much if at all. Genk vs RWDM
Genk has been in a poor streak without a win in their last 5 league matches including losses against OHL and Union. This was partly due to players being gone to the Afrika Cup but in the end now they only have El Khannouss back as Paintsil, and Fadera are injured while Munoz and Arteaga left. Sor who is a right winger played in the striker position doing well there is also injured and Tolu simply isn't good enough. All this made their ability to score goals which used to be their biggest strength decrease as they only marked 4 times in the last 5 matches. Their xg also has gone down to just 0.76 in the last 3 while over the season they are at 1.87. Their general form however actually hasn't been as bad as the results show but it also hasn't been good enough. RWDM last week at home against Antwerp lost with 0-4 and confirmed that they are one of the main relegation contenders. They lost 6 out of their last 7 matches getting 3+ goals against on average with a Defense that is the main worry. In 4 of those matches, they did manage to score. All this got their coach fired which puts them in a potential coach-change-shock-effect spot. The only bet I'm really considering is Genk Win & Both To Score at 2.8+. The combination of a weakened Genk offense while RWDM has a new coach just keeps me away for now.
No Pre-Game Bets
OHL vs Charleroi
This match is a battle between the 2 teams of which 1 potentially will have to play the playdowns. They are in the 12th and 13th spot both with 24 points 4 points shy of the team above them and 2 points clear of RWDM. Charleroi still plays against Genk, Westerlo, Cercle, and AA Gent while OHL still plays against RWDM, Union, Club Brugge, and Mechelen. Losing today for both might be a death sentence and I do expect a really nervous match from both sides possibly with the fear of losing much bigger than the drive to win. Based on their recent form, OHL has the advantage in this match and they are also more complete as Charleroi is missing Zorgane who is one of their best players with backup Morioka also out. OHL also is a reasonable 1H home team with 3 wins and a draw in their recent 4 matches, Charleroi on the other hand is one of the worst 1H teams yet having to take a win with 6 draws and 6 losses so far this season. Most likely this will be an low-scoring match but I missed those odds as they went down already. A Draw keeps the Status Quo but this also is somewhat calculated in the price. The bet I like the most which I was willing to put 0.4 units on is
OHL 1st Half +0 @ 1.813. The Under in corners also makes little sense to me as OHL only went over 1 time in their last 8 home matches while Charleroi didn't go over 11 in their last 4. Also 0.3 units on

Antwerp vs Kv Mechelen
Antwerp played a good match against RWDM last week which wasn't really the reference given the defensive weakness of the opponent. The weeks before they got lucky to win at home against Club Brugge with 2-1 on only 0.48xg. The week before thet pulled out a 0-1 win away against Standard on only 0.12xg. So the recent 3 wins in a row aren't all too representative. Mechelen has gotten in a good streak under their new coach and are now unbeaten in their last 5 matches wint wins over Gent, RWDM, & OHL while taking a draw at home against Anderlecht and Genk. They actual form hasn't been that great and it's mostly the defensive stability that is helping a lot. The good treak got them to 33 points 9 clear of a play-down spot in what should be a safe zone allowing them to relax also with a schedule that is easier compared to those below them. I expect them to play the same style keeping things closed defensively and trying to come out on the counters. Mechelen has managed to create their share of corners which makes me lean toward the over there. Nothing really in this match tempts me to have a go at and I'm just waiting it out to see what happens in-game before potentially making a move.
