Cercle Brugge vs Club Brugge

Club Brugge continues to be in a form where they are still searching while currently lacking goals. They did play a mid-week match at home against Benfica where the coach put up a way too defensive line-up which in the end cost them a 0-2 loss. This pretty much eliminates them from Europe and with no match upcoming next mid-week they can now fully focus on the Belgian League. Jutgla is back and they continue to have a team that should have enough quality with the main question mark being the form of the team and individual players where only Lang really holds up now. Cercle Brugge are inside of the top 8 and are without a loss in their last 5 matches. Especially in the match at home against AA Gent 3 weeks ago they impressed while many of the other matches recently have been rather mediocre. The match against Gent is kind of my reference for today. That one started out extremely boring in the 1st half with no dominant team but turned into a 3-2 home win in the 2nd half. I do expect a match where both teams are willing to go forward especially since Club Brugge coach Parker got a lot of criticism on his defensive line-up against Benfica. All 16 of the previous encounters between these teams had at least 2 goals and I will look to potentially start scaling into the over once the line hits O 2.25. For now, No Pre-Game Bets

AA Gent vs OH Leuven

AA Gent is in-between Conference League matches and had to travel losing with a 1-0 score against Qarabag. A combination of Fatigue, focus on the mid-week match, and still many injuries for sure might be a factor today in the home match against OH Leuven. Their form in the league also hasn't been best, especially on the defensive end in the last 3 matches where they have gotten 3 goals against in each one in total only taking 1 point. OH Leuven hasn't been impressive lately with a 0-0 draw at home against Cercle and a 2-1 loss away against Seraing the week before even though they were the better team. Right now they simply aren't a team that I'm willing to back and the same goes for AA Gent. If my hand was forced though, I would always go for the OHL +1 underdog. Fortunately, it's not so I'm sticking with No Pre-Game Bets

Kv Kortrijk vs Anderlecht

Anderlecht at times has been playing better recently especially defensively but they didn't lack the needed luck to on the offensive end win against mediocre teams. They did play an away mid-week match in Europe losing 1-0 against Ludogorets having a good chance to still qualify next Thursday. So fatigue and focus might be an issue for them today away against Kortrijk even though they really can't afford to lose more points with an eye on playoff 2. Kortrijk is still in the relegation zone 3 points clear of the 16th place and they are coming of a solid match away against standard taking the 0-2 outright win which was not undeserved. So my main question is if I'm willing to back Kortrijk +0.5 in this match. Some aspects make me lean towards a yes while others make me want to stay away which I will do for now. No Pre-Game Bets

Sint-Truiden vs Westerlo

So Sint-Truiden last week played the ultimate anti-football match away against Anderlecht in a match where for the longest time it looked like it was going to stay 0-0 still ending up in a 3-1 loss for them. Starting from a strong defense remains their main play style which makes it that most of the goals tend to come later in the match (63% in 2nd half). Their form has been not bad but also nowhere near impressive. Good defense at the same time having a hard time to score pretty much sums it up. Westerlo is in 7th position deserved and has been one of the revelation teams this season especially at home while to odds have been quite well adjusted to them. They tend to go for it and once they take the lead especially on the road stop pushing and just control the match. This is a match between direct rivals for Playoff 2 as they are only 1 point apart from each other. A draw for both would not be the worst result. I do see Westerlo as the team with more overall quality and missed the +0.25 line that was available earlier at 1.80+ odds. The odds on the under have possibly been overly adjusted now at 2.25 under even money which kind of makes me lean toward the over. I need to see more though before I'm willing to get in. Stvv is without a corner matchup win in their last 7 matches while Westerlo has only 1 corner matchup loss in their last 6 games. This made me take 0.182 units on Westerlo +0.5 Corners @ 1.883 and also 0.156 units on Westerlo 1st Half +0.25 Corners @ 1.810. I perfectly can see a scenario where Westerlo is the team that takes more initiative and is willing to go forward while Stvv doesn't mind playing on the counter.
