Saturday started quite good with some nice profit on the Kv Mechelen match but I gave nearly all of it back in the last match of AA Gent which ended in a surprise 4-2 score. I'm still up on the week going into Sunday where 4 matches will be played...
Genk vs Club Brugge
Genk has had a pattern of taking poor starts and improving along the way. They have ok at best but generally unable to really put up a grea performance over 90 minutes clearly having less quality than they used to in the offensive end. Baah & Oyen simply aren't as good as Paintsil & Fadera while Tolu in the offense has yet to convince 90 minutes. Genk however can do an excellent deal today by taking a win which would get them above Club Brugge in the standings. Club Brugge has the fatigue factor from the cup where they on top gave away a good position against Union getting eliminated. While intrinsically, they should have the best quality squad in the league, a lot of things simply aren't right at the moment whith way too many matches where they just give it away despite clearly being the better team. They also were outplayed by Anderlecht who brought more energy last week and are with just 1 win in the last 5 league games. With 23 points behind on Union, Club Brugge pretty much is out of the title race. They are without Mignolet today while both Thiago and Nusa aren't in the squad. I don't trust either of these teams at the moment and a draw likely would be a result both with sign for. I'm only willing to take a tiny 0.05 units on

Antwerp vs Sint-Truiden
Antwerp managed to easily qualify for the cup final against not the best opponent and having played a mid-week match might bring some fatigue. They in full fight of a playoff 1 spot and far from sure just 2 points clear of falling out. Their form lately hasn't been the best but there are signs of improvement. Stvv continues to do quite well overall but they have nothing left to play for. They are a team who are capable of staying secure in defense but often also have 1 good half and 1 bad half and when in the lead they tend to crawl back. One of their main problems remains scoring goals. I feel the -0.75 home handicap is pretty correct and wouldn't be surprised if Stvv at least 1 half puts up a great performance. I have a small lean on the over sa stvv so far played 2-2 / 3-3 / 1-1 / 4-1 against top teams away always putting up good performances. So I do expect Stvv to be good today but the 4-1 2nd half collapse against Anderlecht scares me along with the fact that Antwerp is the best home 1st half team. I stay away from now
No Pre-Game Bets
Anderlecht vs Eupen
Last week was the first time where Anderlecht really convinced me that they are a real title contender to Union and they took a deserved win away against Club Brugge really putting their energy into it. The question now is if they can confirm this against Eupen who are fighting for relegation generally just not being good enough. Eupen lost their last 5 league matches with a 10-0 goal saldo against them. In their previous away match against a top team (Club Brugge) they also got trashed by 4-0. Anderlecht will be without Vertonghen who willingly took a yellow card to miss this 'easy' match. Gattoni who is new will play in his place. Given the current form and the fact that Anderlecht really showed that they are a title contender last week, I was willing to take a 0.3 unit bet pre-game on
Anderlecht -1.5 @ 1.908. I also couldn't resist a tiny bet on a monster score taking 0.05 units on
Anderlecht -3 @ 5.492. These types of matches also don't need much to see many goals which also made me take 0.2 units on
Over 3 @ 2.010 everything with an eye to possibly increase my stake in-game.
Kortrijk vs RWDM
Kortrijk had a brief coach change shock effect revival but are left with 3 losing matches in a row again now which leaves them in last place. Overall the big problem remains that purely on quality they are lacking with only Kadri really standing out. RWDM as a team has shown that they are capable offensively scoring goals in 4 of their last 5 matches but their weakness remains the defense getting 13 against in the last 5. The dynamics of these relegation matches changed this season as there are still the playdowns. Kortrijk plays now to limit the damage and even a draw would not be bad while RWDM should be willing to take risks to get the win since this will put them in a spot where they still have a chance. Both are too low on the xg in their recent matches and over the season the really consider an over bet. Both do have a relatively high 2H goal ratio at 64.5% and 61%. This is another match where I will just wait and see.
