Jupiler League Week 29 Saturday Previews

These are previews from matches involving Belgian Teams with all the latest on team news, player form, injuries along with my personal betting angles, ...

I did have a good Friday despite the pre-game crypto bet losing as the main in-game did quite well for over half a unit profit. More action on Saturday especially in the Anderlecht match where there is 1 bet that I really like.

Kv Kortrijk vs Antwerp

Kortrijk is in a mode where every point they can take is a victory with an eye on the playdowns and they have done well to limit their damage, especially with the 3-2 against RWDM last week. Antwerp is finding a better form again in the past matches but at the same time they aren't performing similar to last season at their peak. On top, Keita who is important in the midfield seems to be injured. Taking the -1.25 handicap on Antwerp is not an option for me (even though it would well turn out in an easy win) and the main question is if I want to back Kortrijk in one way or another. In the 3 matches before the win over RWDM they took 3 clear losses against Mechelen 3-0, Union 1-3 and stvv 1-0. I do expect Antwerp to take the initiative and it wouldn't be the first time that they start creating some corners and scoring the first goal to afterward go in control mode only really giving some corners away. So I'm mostly looking at getting in on kortrijk + corners handicap in the match. Aside from this, I will just wait and see what happens. No Pre-Game bets

Charleroi vs Cercle Brugge

Charleroi pulled a complete hold-up last week against Westerlo winning 0-1 in a match were once again they simply were not good and their goalkeeper as the best player. This got them out of a playdown spot with 1 point clear of OHL who possibly will lose their last 2 matches. Zorgane is still injured and it has shown that they really miss him. I fully expect another poor performance from Charleroi at least of the offensive end where they have been lacking with an average of just below 0.5xg in the last 5 matches. A Draw would bot be the worst result in the world for them as this saves them incase OHL manages to squeeze out 2 draws in their remaining matches while a draw against Gent next week would then likely also be enough to get them saved. Cercle Brugge is in fight for Playoff 1 having their faith in their own hands and an 'easy' matchup left at home against RWDM in the last week. A win would put them in pole position to make it but a draw also would not be the end of the world. I don't expect this to be a wide-open start where both teams go full force forward looking for the win. Once a goal falls however, there is an incentive for the other team to take crazy risk at the end. I'm sticking to my Cercle Under narrative which I have done very well on this season now taking 0.3 units on 1st Half Under 1 @ 2.010. I also think Cercle is just overall the better team and they deserve to be a bigger favorite. I took 0.25 units on Cercle Brugge -0.25 @ 1.803 which partly covers the draw result.

RWDM vs Anderlecht

Anderlecht has been a team that tends to take really strong starts in their matches which was once again shown last week where it looked like it was going to be an easy 5-0 win after they got the 1-0 lead early. However, they did drop back in form and never were able to extend it. They have their full A-squad available and I expect nothing less than another good start confirming that they are indeed the best 1 team in the league (along with Union and Antwerp). RWDM recently at best takes draws against poor teams and still show to be too vulnerable defensively. This saw 4 of their last 5 matches go to 4+ goals. They are the worst home 1H team also in the league even though they took 10 Draws - 1 Win - 3 Losses. However, those 3 losses all came against the top teams. So my main bet on this match is for Anderlecht to start strong and take the lead in the 1st half not to give it away after. 0.4 units on Anderlecht 1H -0.5 @ 2.102 is what I took along with 0.097 units on Anderlecht 1H -0.25 @ 1.720. I also took Anderlecht 1H as some crypto bets. If they would lose, it would give me more room to get into some extra live bets. I also like Anderlecht to at least score 2 goals. They do Have Vertonghen back who was suspended last week.

Late info might change my view on what is written in these previews. I will cover these matches live in our SBC Discord Channel. I'm also sharing all my early pre-game bets there at the time that I am betting them myself. This however mostly came down to a horrible RWDM defense and an excellent Kadri.
