Yesterday was one of those matches where I gladly took a -0.35 unit loss on just a single pre-game bet where I crushed it on the odds being in a position where it was more likely to push or win and not getting involved any further in the match. Club Brugge didn't exactly convince but still won with a 2-0 score indicating razor-sharp closing lines again with little to nor edge on them. 4 Matches today to try and crack the code on...
Kv Kortrijk vs Eupen
This is a match between teams that are just above the relegation zone not yet safe. Kortrijk is 6 points clear and mathematically can be safe with a win, Eupen is 3 points behind and 3 points clear and has better stats to have them end above in case of equal points of Oostende or Zulte-Waregem. Kortrijk still plays against Antwerp & Union and they have to assume a 0-6 there. Eupen still plays against Zulte-Waregem & Club Brugge so 3 points can be expected. Basically the way I see this match as both teams of they could probably would sign for a draw. Kortrijk mathematically won't be safe but it's one of those calculations where in an extremely rare case they won't make it while most likely based on the results in the other matches they will be already safe this weekend. Eupen with a draw keeps things in their own hands and even losing the vital match against Zulte next week still keeps them above. In terms of form, Kortrijk last week played as if they already were safe losing 2-0 against Cercle while Eupen didn't play a bad match against Anderlecht still losing closely with 0-1. So both teams should be really tight and a draw for both of them is an acceptable and maybe even a preferable result. I took 0.3 units on

OH Leuven vs Kv Mechelen
So Mechelen is in a bad form right now but they are safe and the only real goal left is the cup match. So coach Defour is taking these matches that they have left fully as preparation and a way to experiment for the cup Final. This means one of their better players Verstraete isn't playing as he's owned by Antwerp and is not allowed to play the cup match. This did lose at home last week against Club Brugge who yesterday showed that they aren't actually that good. OHL also has nothing to play for as they are safe without a chance on more and they are coming off 2 losses against Genk & Anderlecht. They do have Maertens back but top striker Gonzalez is injured. Their form has been better lately compared to that of Kv Mechelen. Last week the match of OHL against Genk was crazy offensive and open especially at the end with a 2nd half where there easily could have been 5 goals. There for sure is a potential for a scenario like this but I also see Mechelen focusing on defense more with an eye on the cup match instead of making this a fun wide-open match playing with nothing to lose. So for now I'm staying away but I will be keeping an eye out on the over.
No Pre-Game Bets
Charleroi vs Zulte-Waregem
Charleroi has been in a good form winning 4 out of their last 5 matches each time with a 1-goal difference and they again became a team that most hate to play against. They are on a mission to reach playoff 2 and with an extra match to go very much still are in the running. Against good teams they tend to play a counter style while against teams they know they can beat they are willing to go more forward. Zulte-Waregem absolutely needs the win today in their fight against relegation but they just haven't shown the quality lately even with Vormer back in the team. I do expect a goal at some point in the match which should blow things right open as both teams need the win so risks will have to be taken. The line and odds however have been adjusted to this to the point where it's hard to see value. I don't like betting on Charleroi at a handicap where they need more goals and I also haven't seen enough good things from Zulte to be able to gamble on a surprise relegation team win which tend to be common at the end of a season. AA Gent vs Union SG
AA Gent has been the team with the best form lately and they very easily are scoring goals lately no longer having a big list of injured players. They are in full fight for the last playoff 1 ticket having equal points to Club Brugge after they won yesterday. Basically these are 2 teams in good form and at full force which should bring an interesting match. It wouldn't be the first time an encounter like this turns more into a tactical chess game which also is indicated by the total like as it's set at 2.5. In this one I have no real clue so also here
