It was a solid Friday where the match pretty much played out as I anticipated for 0.319 units of profit on the pre-game bets while I stayed away from any live bets. 3 Matches in Playoff 2 today all played at the same time and with nothing to play for.

Dender vs Kv Mechelen

This is a match with nothing really to play for so motivation of the teams will be the key factor. Dender have not lost a home playoff match yet with 5-0 / 2-1 / 1-1 / 1-0 results against OHL / Charleroi / Standard / Westerlo. This while they haven't won a single away match which indicates that they still have a drive to perform in front of their home fans and I don't expect this to be different today. Last home match was the 5-0 against OHL where they scored at 100% and didn't start the match with their usual high pressing and with OHL as the team with the better start. Mechelen played a fair 1-1 draw in a match. They did get chances but overall had poor finishing and in the week before against Standard they failed to translate their 2nd half dominance mostly against 10 Standard players into goals but ending with a 13-1 corners result. Given the solid Home results on Dender I could not resist taking 0.12 units on Dender +0.25 @ 2.057. I'm also leaning on a potential over and Mechelen on the corners as Dender didn't even manage to win those at home against Standard. For now I will wait though. My general expectation of this match is one where Mechelen takes the initiative and Dender goes their chance more on the counters.

Westerlo vs Standard

This is another match where both teams have nothing to play for aside from the Home side wanting to give their fans a good last match of the season. Westerlo has not lost a match at home during these playoffs and saw all 4 go to at least 4 goals. However, there is a 4-14 ratio on 1H/2H goals with these matches never really starting wide open. Standard remains a team who are ok in defense but just have an impossible time to actually score a goal. They only lost 1 away match with 3 draws and all matches went under 2.5 goals. So this one might be a match of 2 styles where Westerlo is willing to play and go forward while Standard mainly keeps the focus on holding them off and possibly get one in on the counter as Westerlo took 2 goals against in each of their matches. The -1 line is a bit too much for me but I did get in a small 0.1 unit position on 1H Under 1.25 @ 2.00 & 0.05 units on 1H Under 1 @ 2.700 along with a tiny 0.05 unit bet on Standard Team Total Under 1 @ 1.970. I also expect Westerlo to have way more chance at corners which stats of both teams also indicate so 0.165 units on Westerlo 1st Half -0.5 Corners @ 1.710 with an eye to possibly add more in-game.

Charleroi vs OH Leuven

Charleroi has a more important match upcoming away against Antwerp for the final European ticket and I'm quite sure that they want to keep up the good momentum going into it. So I expect them to start with the A-Squad and take it serious. OHL is clearly at the end of the season struggling with motivation suffering 5-0 and 0-2 losses in their last 2 games. Their coach started last match with the A-Squad or at least as good as with some substitutes bringing in youngsters in the end. He also rotated in previous matches so it kind of is hard to imagine that this team will find the proper mindset to play this match. There are just too many questions around the lineups of both teams and possible rotations in 2nd half that I'm staying away. charleroi should be in a better position to win this match bit the -1 line also is just indicating this.
