Sportstalk Curation Showcase

Another great week with some great highlights in what some would say is a mixed bag. In sports we just never know what is going to turn up and every post is a great read for myself as I am always learning something new or being reminded of something from the past. I do encourage everyone to read the posts and if you haven't voted on any please consider supporting any that you enjoy as these posts all fall in the 7 day window of curation.

[Esp] POTENTES Primeros Rounds... Boxeo Explosivo [Eng] POWERFUL First Rounds... Explosive Boxing

@omarcitorojas has come up with another cracking post this week and appreciate the time and effort that goes into producing a post of this quality. Overlook the grammar as obviously the translation doesn't help and I love the gifs as it makes the post come alive.

How @omarcitorojas describes the various fights it is as though he is reliving the fight live at ring side and why I enjoy reading his posts.

My love of football and how it formed in the 1980s ⚽️

@ablaze yet again makes our highlight reel for the week as our sports loving Irishmen travels back in time explaining how he and most kids fall in love with sport. He fell in love with football and Arsenal and I think we can all resonate with what he is saying. Only by playing a certain sport at a young age is your interest sparked and why it is so important to just get kids playing from a young age. Unfortunately my parents were not sports people yet I managed to find my way into every sport a little later on as I wanted to just play.

I remember clearly the 1988/89 season like it was yesterday and how Arsenal sealed their victory winning the League after so many years. Everyone likes a fairy tale story and can imagine something similar with Leicester against all the odds playing out decades later.

Indian Premier League T20 Cricket - Team Standings At Half Way Stage

@coolguy123 loves his cricket and especially the Indian Premier League which has reached it's half way point in the competition. The post gives us an update on every single team with some of his own thoughts and insights. I do enjoy reading these kinds of posts as everyone who follows that sport will have their own opinions on why a certain team is doing well or performing badly. This tournament does go on for a while with every team playing each other twice so 14 matches before the playoffs. This gives teams a chance to come back and change their fortunes so anything is still possible.

The Super League and why it Failed

@tomlee discusses the new proposed Super League that was announced recently and has seen the English Premiership teams involved back tracking trying to distance themselves. Talk about bad publicity and a backlash on the club owners by not only fans, but players and staff who are not happy. I can see this not going away anytime soon and we haven't heard the last of this. Will this reshape the leagues bringing in the likes of Celtic and Rangers to the English Premiership which is something that has been talked about for years. This would cripple the Scottish Premiership which is precisely what the Super League would have done to the other 14 teams in the Premiership. Greed and everyone for themselves is exactly what this smacks of not thinking about the ramifications of such moves.

Messi and the Dog: Understanding Messi's Abilities

@amirtheawesome1 is new to the show case this week with a well written and interesting article about Lionel Messi. There are many things I didn't know about Messi especially his growth disorder which has actually helped him be the player he is. I think everyone who stands out in the sporting world has some freaky stuff whether it is being double jointed or something else which Messi could or may not have. Many people use whatever abnormality they have to the best advantage and what puts them on top being better than everyone else, but still hard work prevails no matter what it is.

Thank you to the entire community for raising the bar each week as this shows what an exciting tribe @sportstalksocial really is as we have so many quality posts each and every day.

IPL T20 Cricket Tournament has come to an abrupt end due to some players testing positive for Covid 19 and I am left with no further updates about that although there is a chance of tournament being continued at a later point.

I am planning to write few more blogs with highlights of some stellar performances in the matches played so far, hope in that way, we can still relish the Cricket sports and IPL.

Thank you for selecting my blog for curation showcasing.

I wrote a bunch of sports posts this week, but I didn't curate any. I am going to have to fix that today!

How often do you read @cryptoandcoffee sports related posts? At times he drops some certain tags to be used for the week I guess.

I mostly go to the new tab and upvote what I feel to be undervalued posts.

I checked that and I noticed you got curated by OCD about 3 days ago. What about that?

You complained not to have been curated in the past 7 days, or didn't you?

This are mouthwatering contents and I wish to see more of these as me myself would be working hard and smart to create more sensible sports contents too.
