Hello and welcome, you may know me from my primary blog @cryptoniusrex which is primarily my Splinterlands guild captain related content. This is a secondary account focused more upon $PIZZA activities and other varied eclectic things. In this post we will be talking about my PIZZA brawl highlights.

Today I will be going over the loss from my brawl last week for Pizza 2: The Deep Dish. This loss ended up coming down to 1 hp, among numerous other victories. I won almost every fight, except the one I'll be highlighting in this post. Gladius cards playing an important role in the outcome. To check out all of the fights in my fray click here, here, here, here, here, and here.

Strategy And Positioning

In the battle located here I utilize the Camila Stargazer summoner to reduce the melee attacks of my enemy lineup coupled with Sporeceror to reduce the armor of each enemy unit. Despite this, Katrelba Gobson is a formidable foe that ends up causing considerable damage to my backline.

As seen in the fight, the enemy is able to destroy my lineup well before my singular goblin theif can even put a dent in my foe's lineup. It would have been considerably greater damage if I had picked a different summoner. Even with an anti-melee summoner I was unable to prevent my lineup from being whittled away. The enemy using no magic also meant that unicorn mustang was unable to withstand damage as effectively as chain golem and mustang dies by round 2.

Needless to say, after a few rounds of being assailed by greater damage my lineup was in shambles and my enemy was close to victory. The most valuable part of the enemy lineup being Katrelba Gobson (excellent backline damage even when debuffed) and chain golem with it's armor plated damage resistance. If I were able to utilize my Gladius cards in this fight, the fight may have easily gone in a different direction. Various options would have been available that weren't considered when picking this particular lineup, including my own copy of Katrelba Gobson.

As can be seen in the image above, this fight was very close in the end. An extra miss for either me or my opponent would have turned the tide of this battle. An excellent and epic loss to watch. A much more certain loss if I had picked any other summoner for the Untamed only fray.

Gladiators: A Common Brawl Occurrence + FREE PIZZA!

Gladiators are now a common sight in the brawl arena, expect them in any fray and any lineup. This adds another layer of play and counterplay to brawls for everyone. Even if your guild can't utilize them yet (Like Pizza 2: The Deep Dish), the possibility that the enemy may be using cards from their Gladius packs is ever present. Expect to see interesting combinations utilizing Gladius cards and the existing sets, and even more combinations when Chaos Legion arrives. Overall it's an exciting time to be entering the brawl arena, you never know which gladiator you will encounter next. Everyone who comments on this post will receive a slice of $PIZZA. If you are curious about how to use PIZZA or what it is click here or on the image below. Don't forget to follow me here and @cryptoniusrex for more delicious content!
