dannewton just finished a 17.45km run, that lasted for 98 minutes.
This run helped dannewton burn 1249.0 calories.

Description from Strava: If this run looks very familiar, you'd be right. I ran the same route on Monday (2 Days ago). The only difference is that I did the loop in the opposite way.... gotta keep it vaguely interesting!

I didn't plan to do this, I just wanted an easy 90 minute zone 2 run, and was just gonna head along the bypass and back. I set of after work as usual, but by the time I had reached the 2nd roundabout on the route, I decided I fancied running along the path which follows the river. And then when I reached Washingborough, I realised I was doing the reverse of Mondays route... and as that would take around 1 hour 45 minutes, I thought I might as well do it.

To be fair, its actually a very pleasant little route, interesting and varied... and plenty to look at as I travel through. On Monday I needed a map on my watch to guide me round the small back roads, but tonight I was confident I was able to retrace my steps.

And so I did... it was a lovely run on a lovely evening!

Coming up the hill from Washingborough, I then just nip through Branston before joining the bypass to head for home.

Pace wise, I'm not ready to attack speedwork yet, and so it was an easy zone 2 effort. I did try to be mindful of my pace, and tried to keep pushing as 'hard' as my zone 2 heart rate limit would let me. My zone 2 currently has me at between 138bpm and 149pbm, so I tried to maintain as close to 149 as possible without going over.

I managed to average close to 5:37min/km, over the 17.5km distance which is pretty nifty at what seemed to be an 'easy' effort.

So yeah, nice little run, and quickly becoming my current fave little route to use. :-)

Tomorrow will be a short and very easy effort, and then after a day off on Friday I'll be back for a long run on Saturday. I do need to visit family to sort stuff out in the morning, but the afternoon and evening will be free for a decent long run out somewhere...

About the Athlete: Living in the UK, I am an intermittent Runner, but always striving for more consistency. When I'm not training I can be found photographing insects or listening to really loud angry music (which is the best type of music obviously!)
