@dannewton just finished a 6.68km run, that lasted for 41 minutes.
This run helped dannewton burn 593.0 calories.

Description from Strava:

Its been wet all day here, due to the arrival of Storm Amy, and there is apparently worse to follow for most of tomorrow. As is per usual for a Friday, I was going to walk into work, but when I opened the curtains this morning, it was definitely not an option

Instead I decided to get a soggy bus ride into work instead:

To be fair its probably a good idea with regards to my race on Sunday... I don't think I'm running enough to require a proper taper, but I do think that taking it a little easier today will probably benefit me

My work day was surprisingly busy, but that was mostly due to a 'short' meeting, which ended up being 2 hours long

I don't quite know why, the key message was explained in 20 minutes, and then went round in circles as people disagreed and complained...

The time wasted meant I had less time to do everything else, and meant that I ended up finishing later.... never a good thing, but worse today as it is a flippin' friday and I'm ready for the weekend. Despite the heavy rain and strong winds, I still ran home. I was prepared with a lightweight running jacket, and a peaked cap (to keep the rain of my face) but to be honest I wa a little lucky with the weather. I stepped out of the office into a heavy downpour, but within 10 minutes it had eased off, and by the time I was huffing and puffing up the hill to get home, it had almost stopped!

view from my front door, pretty wet, but not actually raining!

Now home, I can finally start my weekend. onight will be taking it easy and chilling, and then there will be a rest day tomorrow. When I say rest day, I just mean no running... theres still plenty of chores to go at, and hopefully get done so that on Sunday I can focus on just the race.

Really looking forward to it, and off course I'll update you with how it goes on Sunday

I hope you all have a great weekend too, whatever you have planned!

It's been wet here too, but I didn't run today. I think you should be ready for your race, so enjoy it. I could have done the local 10k on Sunday, but I'm skipping it this year. I'll just do parkrun tomorrow.

Have a great weekend.

Thanks @steevc, fingers crossed your parkrun goes ahead tomorrow, suspect the storm will be causing cancellations, although as you're a little further south you might avoid the worst of it anyway

Hope you have a fab weekend too :-)

It doesn't matter if it's less or more, but we should continue our daily routine of running, whether it's raining or sunny.
