@dannewton just finished a 6.59km run, that lasted for 42 minutes.
This run helped dannewton burn 555.0 calories.

Description from Strava: Welp, after all the excitement of the race yesterday, its back to the daily grind!

I had the option of taking it easy, but instead chose to go straight back into business as usual, which meant that at 6:30 this morning, I headed out for the usual walk to work

(It's that time of year when I leave to go to work in the dark...)

I felt a little stiff for the first 20 minutes, but gradually the legs loosened off and the walk was pretty comfortable... I strongly believe that 'active recovery', is better than rest.

And then after a steady day at work, it was time for the standard run home. I did try to keep this one easy, but to be fair, the run felt fine. Again, a little bit of stiffness in both sides of my groin (hip adductors), but that wore off as I warmed up.

A spot of stretching after I got home, and I feel pretty good!

now its time for a very quick shower, before I head out to the local beefeater restaurant with family to celebrate my brothers birthday...

Tomorrow will be the same again, with the added joy of a physio appointment tomorrow evening

About the Athlete: Living in the UK, I am an intermittent Runner, but always striving for more consistency. When I'm not training I can be found photographing insects or listening to really loud angry music (which is the best type of music obviously!)

There is a beautiful silence in the evening, and then, while walking, a person thinks a lot about his life and many solutions come to mind.
