Description from Strava:
Its almost the end of January, and I can't believe how quick thats gone. It'll be Spring before we know it, and I've already noticed the days starting to get lighter in both the mornings and the evenings.
The walk into work this morning did start under the cover of darkness, but only for 15 minutes or so. It was also nice and relaxing as I headed in, helped by the dry and cool conditions. Not overly warm, but better than it has been recently

My work day was reasonable too, it did get slightly boring in the afternoon, but I managed to find some more work to do... partly as I don't like to be bored, and also as being busy helps time go quicker.
Afterwards it was time to run back home again, and with it being a Thursday, that means a longer session of around 10-12km

For this one, I chose to take the (not very) scenic route along Monks Road and Triton Road, and then a much more interesting path which runs down near Boultham Park. From there I doubled back on myself to head up Cross o'cliff towards home.
The effort was nice and easy, and fairly comfortable to be fair, which is perfect for a run home from work.
Tomorrow will be a shorter effort, and then on Saturday it will be a longer effort of somewhere between 20-24km, I might even sneak in a parkrun on the way round, but that all depends on how I feel on the day (and if I get out of bed on time haha!)

About the Athlete: Living in the UK, I am an intermittent Runner, but always striving for more consistency. When I'm not training I can be found photographing insects or listening to really loud angry music (which is the best type of music obviously!)

I could recognise that pic of the Brayford a mile off. I either didn't realise or forgot you live so close to me. I'm in Brigg, my ex lives in North Hykeham so I know Lincoln quite well
