Afternoon Plod

I just finished a 5.896km running that lasted about 0hh:37mm:57ss !

TL;DR - Definitely plodding today, legs feel tired and stiff... need to be mindful not to overdo it

Yep... as that headline mentions, it was slower going today compared to previous runs. I need to remember that I only got back into running 2 weeks ago. It doesn't matter that I ran a half-marathon earlier this year. My body has already forgotten about that and I need to build it up again.

Again this run should have been done earlier in the day, but I was busy getting stuff ready for my new job next week (only 7 days to go!). It involved complete an online e-induction course which took over 3 hours to work through. All sorted now so that is one less thing to do.

By the time that was all finished it was nearly 3pm again, and the light was beginning to fade as the sun started to set. Weather wise it was still cool and dry, and only a hint of a breeze which is good weather to run in...

I chose to do the standard route again, just cos its easier, although today I did feel noticeably more tired compared to the last couple of runs. Its a sign of over doing it, so Fridays run will be a shorter run and then I'll rest over the weekend.

You can see the tiredness setting in with these split times that can be seen in the image below. However its another run in the bag, and I can put my feet up this evening and take it easy :-)

Sometimes the pace doesn't matter as long as you get out. I've not run in a week due to illness, but hope to be back out soon.
