RE: How The Premier League Became Successful

You are viewing a single comment's thread:

You are right but slightly. For example, Newcastle's last match was more like a big UCL night. The fans were amazing. Pretty sure their hands were sore as the way they waved flags. We all know about the rise of Newcastle, but in Spain, it's not simple as Socios run Clubs. To buy a club in other's league, the deal has to be crazy as Twitter's takeover. Meaning it's so hard to buy shares from thousands of people. Before spending big, they have to earn as one alone can't do much.

You are absolutely right about the broadcasting of EPL, but It's all about star players since the Media also have to cash in. They are doing business. Do I have to say more?

Signing of Messi has changed things for Ligue 1.

Well, thanks for proving my point. You are correct in saying the Newcastle game being similar to a UCL night. Of course it was. But the fact is, there are equal or nearly equal level craze in the other leagues too. You should watch the game from this season where Stuttgart secured their safety from relegation and you'll know what I'm saying.

And the buying clubs being difficult in Spain? That's literally what my writing is about. The UK government has made it easy for foreign investors to buy clubs in the prem. It's their bankrolling and ease of rules that has made the premiership as enjoyable as it is today.
