My Actifit Report Card: May 26 2022

It was a nice fine morning so I took a walk around the local Ifield Mill Pond with my wife. We were welcomed by a large congregation of Canada Geese with young goslings.

They were so friendly and came up so close that one of them nibbled my finger as I was taking a closeup.

We carried on through the park.

There are some islands where the birds nest safely away from predators but some some choose a more exposed place!

Can you spot the chicks in this moorhens nest?

Later I spotted a heron quite close by. It's rare to get a good photo of a heron but I only had my mobile phone so it's a bit blurry on zoom!

Lovely walk in the park so to speak. What a cute gosling! It's great to be able to do walking exercises and get some cool, relaxing view too. It's refreshing to be outdoors. Happy weekend!

Ah! Yes it was one of those opportunistic moments that you don't expect. I was just rapidly clicking away hoping that I'd get a decent shot as birds being birds, they were not keeping still!
