Ride to work schemes are a great idea!

Companies in the UK are offering employees a very attractive idea to get people fit and in to work on an e-bike or something similar.

It an excellent way to keep fit or lose weight or both!

I used to occasionally ride to work but found that with a very active job it became difficult to keep it up. Must be my age creeping up on me! 😆

I had a good days work again outside with some driving duties too. It's nice to be out and about at this time of year especially when the weather is fine like today.

My wife’s company offer such a scheme and she is going to take them up on it. We’ve got good bikes already but quite tempted by e-bikes having done test rides recently. Something we’re considering at least. I dusted my existing bike off today and did a short lunchtime circuit. Funnily enough just about to write up my Actifit report!

Yeah they are a really good idea, especially if someone hasn't cycled for a long while.

It is an excellent scheme, which I never took advantage of, stupid really.
I used to ride 21km one way to work in all sorts of weather, snow included, and mostly on a road bike fully loaded.. I couldn't do that now, it was quite tough at times and I reluctantly opted for an e-bike for the last few months we had our offices.
Working from home now full time.. lol

I had thought about riding to work but my wife doesn't like the idea of me cycling through the City. She is probably right, it does look pretty lethal some times!

Yes, I wouldn't risk it either! I don't really like riding on roads anywhere.
Biking is purely for off-road pleasure! 😄

There are some parts of the City that just seem lethal. Even as a pedestrian you need to be really careful as cars and bikes seem to be going everywhere. I have seen a few bikes come a cropper and just feel its not worth it!
