DuceCrypto's Actifit Report Card: November 6 - 11, 2023
After a strong start to first my weekend on @actifit (Saturday Nov 4, Sunday Nov 5), I was not nearly as active as I would have liked during my work week Monday through Friday. Since I am not using the in-app feature to post, I used my meager HTML skills to copy and paste some of the content from my previous posts. I hope it turned out alright!
I just started my new job placement as a teacher in Brooklyn, NY on Monday. However, my commute is rather short, luckily just three city blocks to walk to school. It is nice that I don't have to drive to work (especially since I don't have a car), but I'm not going to tally many steps when my walk is so short. Here is the daily view of my step counter from November 6 - 11, 2023.
The big bump on Thursday, November 9 was on account of me walking to my favorite club in Brooklyn -- Elsewhere. I'm a member of this club, so I decided to go to the weekly live screening of its HiFi show. On HiFi, they play some of the freshest new tunes of the week and talk about the artists with some interaction from the community in the chat. Check out the video on YouTube from the most recent episode.
I was planning to go back to Elsewhere yesterday, November 11, to see Aluna's Mycelium Tour live show there, but sadly I could not find my noise-filtering earplugs so I decided to just stay in. I also had Friday off of work and just did a bunch of errands around my apartment. That explains the ridiculously low step counts these last two days.
Since I don't keep my mobile on me at all times when I am in my apartment, I am definitely missing out on a few steps here and there, no big deal. It wasn't like I was going to make it back into the Top 250 with my inactive week. I'm also not sure how to get credit for the 10-minute calisthenics workouts I do in my home.
I don't have a fitbit to track my movements when the mobile phone is off my person. I don't have an effective way to keep my mobile phone with me to track my movements when I go through my stretching and seven different exercises. For those interested, my 10-minute workout includes nine different exercises that I do for one minute at a time with the last minute used to work through some cooldown yoga poses.
The nine exercises are:
- High Knees
- Sit Ups
- Push Ups
- Lunges (alternate sides)
- Jumping Jacks
- Plank
- Squats
- Lying Leg Raise
- Bridge Pose
The cooldown activities are:
- Windshield Wipers
- Happy Baby
That's a wrap on my content to recap you all on my slow going these past six days. Hopefully, I can finish the week strong with a more active Sunday. I'm just about to head out to my favorite soccer pub in Manhattan -- The Football Factory -- to meet up with a good mate who is a Brighton supporter for the early matches.
Of course, the main attraction is always the #NYBlues, the historic 25-year-old Chelsea FC Supporters club that I've been a member of since returning to NYC in 2018. There's just nothing like watching my favorite footie side with some of the best Chelsea fans this side of the Atlantic. We're going to need all the criac against the league-leaders Manchester City. Up the Blues!!! #carefree
