Further Northwards towards Takaka

Another beautiful travelling day in the northwest. Started the drive after a mediocre breakfast in Hokitika. First stop were the pancake rocks near Punakaiki. Wonderful to see how the forces of nature can create amazing landscape.

Then, we drove all along the westcoast and through the Buller gorges with some more beautiful views.

Then, we did a friend visit in Mapua, before crossing over the Takaka hill towards the valley with the same name. All in all a beautiful day.

We hadden een (outside) oudejaarsparty bij de buren. Veel mensen leren kennen uit de buurt.
Verder veel gewandeld in de bergen en dingen gekocht (logeerbed en een elektrische fiets) en toen de vlucht terug gemist door een hoofdweg afsluitng vanwege bosbrand. Nu in de kou ja!
Woon je nu in NZ of is het een lange trip met wat werken erbij ?

Oh, dat klinkt goed. Maar wel een vervelend einde zo...
Ik ben hier bijna 2 maanden en werk in die tijd ca. 50%. Vandaar dat ik zo lang kan blijven.
