Description from Strava:

A morning in Flachauwinkl after a clear night. Run at 8 am finding the way uphill. Going from the parking lot there is a mountain road leading up the hill.

I needed to cross the stream before reaching the road. It was snow covered and icy at places.

Slowly meandering uphill I passed a group of small huts with a pond near by. A lovely place.

Immediately after it there was a crossroad with the main road going straight on and up. I took the left road which wasn't driven on. After a couple of hundred kilometers there was the skiing slope. Looking uphill I saw the top station of the ski lift.

Here I turned back and ran down the slippery road.

When near the beginning I chose to continue and run under the highway to the local road which led to the base station of yet another ski lift.

After less than a kilometer I was back home.

Lovely run it was. Next, breakfast and skiing.

Well-done! I have always imagined how it is running inside the winter. I mean it will be very cold. Beautiful photos of snow you have got.

It is not so cold, around zero degrees. And you only feel cold in the first couple of minutes. Then you are already warmed up and it's OK. In fact, it gets too warm quickly :)

How does it feel to run under the snow?

Are your shoes gonna be sticky?

Nope. You need winter running shoes which can fence snow reasonably well. Like these ...

Ps: I took this photo because of the leaflet which was frozen into the snow. I picked it up and brought to safety, of course.

Now I feel so jealous as I do not experience winter in my country. I have always wanted to build a snowman but too bad i will have to wait till whenever I have the opportunity to travel abroad.
