7 laps with 200 metres of elevation gain! that is massive! Congratulations most of the backyard events I have seen have been on flat ground. I have not done one yet, @bhabb have you got one of these coming up?

Thanks. Yes, this backyard ultra is a sort of exception. hilly and muddy. my last, 7th lap, was a struggle to finish in 58 minutes since I mostly walked for the first two miles, uphill. Add to it that you need to run over the roots and bumps and cross the creek (jump across it) eight times in the last two kilometers, then you get the difficulty of the course.

It was fun :) Next year at least eight, now that I know what to expect.

Now I know where you were this last Saturday! - Not too far from my house. Pity! We could meet, despite your muddy legs. But if you were running through the woods there, I'm not surprised, as, after many days of constant rain, there must have been lots of mud. 🙂
However, 47 km - my dear Lord, that's really something! I don't know how many circles that is, but it's (at least for me) a huge amount of kilometers. Congratulations! 🏆
