First snow

Yesterday in the morning ...

It was the first snow of the season. Traces of it here in the lowlands, more in the mountains. By midday, it was gone.

This afternoon in the forest, there still are patches where the first snow survived for the day.

It was cold and sunny most of the day. A view across the fields toward the setting sun.

I'm from Canada. A little bit of frost is always how it starts. It's just teasing you. "Look, this is not so bad, right?"

Pretty soon you'll be under a foot of snow ... and I won't. 😏

I hope I'll wade in snow pretty soon. After all, there's this brand new cross-country skiing equipment calling me and waiting to be used :)
