Sunny Saturday sprint session [#poprzeczka May 2026 #02]

Morning

A beautiful sunny Saturday. No agenda, no rush. A short doggy walk to stretch the legs, then morning coffee with the neighbours — the best kind of slow start to a weekend day.

The rest of the morning was quiet. Mostly still. Battery recharging after the trip.

Afternoon run

By afternoon the sunshine was too good to ignore. Laced up and headed out for a structured session — a mix of steady running and sprint work.

The plan:

  • 5 min warm-up walk/easy jog

  • 6 km at steady pace

  • 6 × 20 sec sprint with 1 min easy jog recovery between each

  • 2 km steady pace to finish

  • 5 min cool-down

Total run: 11 km. The sprints were short but honest — 20 seconds at full tilt is enough to remind you what your legs are actually capable of. The steady kilometres on either side kept the volume up without hammering the body.

Day 2 of May. The bar sits at 2,000 steps. With 13,000 steps logged, it was cleared by a comfortable margin. The streak continues.
