Bangladesh Couldn't pass the Pakistan barrier !

After the group stage match, the Asia Cup Super Four match has already started. Bangladesh and Pakistan met yesterday in the first match of the Super four. Naturally, Pakistan will be dominant on the soil of its own country. However, Bangladesh's batting performance on a flat pitch like Lahore was very disappointing. The team couldn't score 200 runs on the same pitch where Bangladesh scored 330+ runs against Afghanistan two days ago. As a result, Pakistan won that match very easily by seven wickets.

Pakistan is currently the best team in ODIs. The team is at the very top of the ICC ODI rankings. On the other hand, the position of Bangladesh is seventh. It was somewhat expected that Pakistan would dominate this match as the ranking says. Moreover, the current team of Pakistan is better than the last few years. The team's pace bowling attack is the team's main strength. Apart from this, Babar Azam, Mohammad Rizwan, and Imam Ul Haq are consistently performing in batting. On the other hand, the Bangladesh team is young. Apart from Shakib Al Hasan, Liton, and Mushfiqur, everyone has very little experience.

Bangladesh captain Shakib Al Hasan won the toss in the match between Pakistan and Bangladesh. Bangladesh captain decided to bat in the beginning considering the intense heat of Lahore. Bangladesh planned to collect good runs in this match like against Afghanistan as Lahore is a batting-friendly wicket. However, Bangladeshi batsmen didn't implement the plan in this match.

Mehadi Hasan Miraz, the hero of the victory against Afghanistan, was dismissed by Nasim Shah at the beginning of the batting and walked to the pavilion. Bangladesh was under pressure from the start, losing wickets before opening the run book. However, Liton Dan, who joined the team to replace Nazmul Hasan Shanto, was leading the team along with Naeem Sheikh. But Liton could not make his innings big. After losing three consecutive wickets, Bangladesh became a team of four wickets for 47 runs. Bangladeshi batters couldn't play Pakistan's high-speed balls.

However, captain Shakib Al Hasan and Mushfiqur Rahim pulled Bangladesh out of the batting disaster. The duo scored a century partnership. The pair broke when Shakib was dismissed by Faheem Ashraf after completing his half-century. Later, no one can bat well after Musfiqur got out after completing his personal fifty. As a result, the Bangladesh team was all out for 193 runs before the completion of 40 overs. A simple target of 194 runs was set for Pakistan to win.

It was conceivable that Pakistan would easily win the target on their home ground by a small number of runs. That's exactly what happened on the field. The Pakistan batsmen passed the target of 194 runs with 7 wickets and 10 overs in hand. As a result, apart from a great victory, the Pakistan team also advanced in run rate. Imam-ul-Haq and Rizwan performed well with the bat for Pakistan. Pakistan will face India in their next match. On the other hand, Bangladesh will face Sri Lanka in their next match. Will Bangladesh be able to avenge the loss in the group stage against Sri Lanka?
