RE: How La liga Lost Its Taste After Years Of Dominating
You are viewing a single comment's thread:
The attribution citation does not comply with the rules of the club.
It should follow, the attribution guide provided by Creative Commons License, with changes as required to suit the circumstances, such as the title availablity, the citation style required by the copyright owner or the stock image website etc.
Basically the club rules requires you state as many details as possible on the face of the image citation itself.
In other words the attribution citation for the first image from Unsplash should have been at the minimum as follows:
Photo by Krzysztof Dubiel on Unsplash
The code for the above citation was provided by Unsplash and is the minimum you should follow for the club rules.
If you had included the maximum details (as recommended by Creative Commons License) it would have been like this:
People watching soccer game in stadium, by Krzysztof Dubiel is licensed under Unsplash License.
The purpose behind these requirements is twofold:
a) To maintain the blogger's and Hive platform's integrity.
b) To comply with the requirements copyright owner when you are using a copyrighted image, or in the case of a free image as an expression of gratitude in the form of advertisement for the copyright owner.
If you are the copyright owner who has labored to provide the image free, wouldn't you appreciate such a gesture? Remember when you simply provide a clickable link titled "Source" not many would know who the copyright owner is or would bother to click the link to find out.
Hope this helps.
