Este fin de semana es otro donde no falta la acción del deporte motor, por lo cual les voy a traer una reseña donde les voy hablar de la competencia del Rally de Safari (Kenia) del campeonato mundial de rallies (WRC), siendo la séptima fecha del calendario de este campeonato mundial de la Federación Internacional de Automovilismo (FIA). Esta competencia dio comienzo el jueves 22 de junio de 2023 y finalizará mañana Domingo 25. Otra de las categorías que verá acción este fin de semana de manera consecutiva es MotoGP, con el Gran Premio de Holanda en el circuito de Assen, trazado que se conoce como la catedral del motociclismo. Esta será se octava fecha del calendario 2023 de la categoría. Finalmente la serie de la copa NASCAR corre una fecha más y en esta oportunidad es en el óvalo de Nashville, luego de que la semana pasada hayan tenido la única semana de descanso.

El WRC está corriendo uno de los rallies más legendarios, como es la competencia de Safari en Kenia, siendo una fecha más de esta temporada, una dura lucha entre todos los pilotos. Esta es la edición número 70, de una competencia que es realmente dura, ya que los pilotos deben pelear con un terreno que para nada es fácil, con rocas, llenas de baches e incluso las condiciones climáticas suelen ser impredecible. Otro factor en cuenta es que los pilotos se pueden encontrar con animales en el camino, lo cual los puede hacer perder tiempo, incluso en esta edición ya ha sucedido. Los ganadores de este Rally el año pasado fue Kalle Rovanperä, junto a su copiloto Jonne Halttunen. Recordar que estos dos son los campeones vigentes con el equipo Toyota. La competencia inicio el jueves con el habitual Shakedown, siendo tan solo una etapa de prueba. Realmente la competencia iniciaba con la SS1. Rovanperä fue el vencedor del Shakedown, mientras que Ott Tänak fue el ganador de la primera etapa, llamada Súper Special Kasarani, con una disntancia de 4.84 km. El tiempo realizado por 3:14.3. Luego de esto Ogier mostro realmente tener un buen ritmo para ganar muchas de las etapas disputadas el viernes y el temprano de este sábado, quedándose con el liderato de la carrera. La catedral del motociclismo, el circuito de Assen, ubicado en Países Bajos, está albergando este fin de semana una nueva carrera del campeonato mundial de MotoGP, una carrera muy esperada y querida por todos los pilotos de la parrilla. Por segunda semana consecutiva corre la categoría, en un trazado donde la conducción y tener una buena moto y puesta punto, es fundamental para las aspiraciones de cada uno. Luego de que la semana pasada se viera un dominio de la marca Ducati y en especial del español, Jorge Martin, quien dominó tanto la carrera sprint, como el evento principal en el Gran Premio de Alemania, en una dura lucha con el líder del campeonato, Pecco Bagnaia. ¿Ducati nuevamente tendrá el dominio de esta carrera? ¿Habrá un ganador distinto de otra marcar? Son unas de las interrogantes que nos podemos platear para desarrollar la previa del evento principal.

Hasta el momento se han disputado todas las sesiones previas a la carrera principal, las prácticas, la clasificación y carrera sprint. En la primera práctica el líder fue Marco Bezzecchi, italiano del equipo de Valentino Rossi, quien está realmente teniendo un gran campeonato. El tiempo de Bezzecchi fue de 01'32.246 a Maverick Viñales, Alex Marquez, Johann Zarco y Fabio Quartararo, a cada uno de ellos por más de tres décimas de segundos.
