Esapekka paso seis años y medio sin triunfo, pero este 2024 comenzó de la mejor manera para el piloto finlandés, en una temporada donde estará participando en algunas carreras, es decir, tendrá un campeonato parcial, por lo que no será un contendiente al título. Pero, esto le puede servir para que el próximo año pueda obtener un coche a tiempo completo, con Hyundai o cualquier otro equipo.
