El piloto de Hendrick MotorSports, Kyle Larson de la máquina número 5 se alzó con la victoria en la Hollywood Casino 400, evento de la NASCAR CUP SERIES. Larson logró así su gane número 4 de los Play-Off y segunda de manera consecutiva, además que esta es la victoria que consigue en lo que va de la temporada 2021, luego de su regreso a la categoría por un sanción impuesta por actos racistas, pero lo importante es que el tema quedo atrás y ahora el piloto está mostrando todo su talento en pista. Ya el piloto tenía asegurado su pase a la ronda final o ronda de campeonato de 4, pero lo importante de esta victoria es que el piloto y el equipo lleguen motivados para hacer el mejor trabajo en PHOENIX RACEWAY el próximo 7 de Noviembre.

En lo que a esta carrera representa les puedo decir que Larson domino la carrera, donde lideró 130 vueltas de las 267 pautadas, seguido de Chase Elliott # con 64 vueltas en la primera posición de la carrera. William Byron #24 lidero 57, Joey Logano #22 estuvo 22 vueltas de líder y algunos pilotos más que sumaron algunos giros en la primera posición del evento.

En la primera etapa en vuelta 11 salió la primera bandera de precaución por la lluvia, ya que es importante mencionar que debido a las grandes velocidades que se alcanzan en la categoría y más que las llantas son lisas y se corra corría en un ovalo, pues es imposible competir. Para la vuelta siguiente vueltas salió la bandera roja y por ende los autos fueron enviado a los pits. Más tarde se reanudo la carrera, luego de la lluvia y relámpagos, para la vuelta 24 se esperaba la bandera de competición para que los equipos pudieron ajustar la puesta a punto de los autos e ir por neumáticos nuevos, y combustible. De allí la carrera fue bastante fluida y hasta la bandera a cuadros verdes que nos indica el final de segmento, dejando como resultado el ya antes mencionado.

El segundo segmento fue ganado por William Byron, seguido de Chase Elliott, Kyle Larson, Kurt Busch, Kevin Harvick, Tyler Reddick, Alex Bowman, Denny Hamlin, Bubba Wallace y Ross Chastein para completar las primeras 10 posiciones como finalizaron la segunda etapa de la carrera. En esta segunda etapa uno de los contrincantes al título como los es Kyle Busch #18 piloto de JGR, golpeo la pared aproximadamente en la vuelta 133 lo que lo obligo a entrar a los boxes y perder algunas vueltas, la verdad es que tuve una mala carrera, pero lo importante es que aun se encuentra entre los 4 primeros en la tabla de puntos que avanzaría a la pelea por el campeonato en la carrera final.

Luego vino el tercer y último segmento, donde no hubo casi banderas amarillas, donde en la vuelta 219 fue la última bandera de precaución y además fue la última entrada a los boxes de los líderes, que fueron por 4 neumáticos frescos y combustible, con algunos ajustes en la puesta a punto del auto, pero nada brusco por lo menos en los primeros lugares que iban en ese momento en la carrera. Al cruzar la bandera a cuadros como les dije anteriormente el ganador fue Larson, seguido de Chase Elliott, Kevin Harvick en las tres primeras posiciones. En total fueron 6 banderas amarillas que tuvo la carrera y una fue por la lluvia, además de una bandera roja por dicha llovizna que llego al ovalo de Kansas. Esta fue una carrera muy buena, con bastantes adelantamientos como solemos ver en la NASCAR.

This was a very good race, with plenty of overtaking as we usually see in NASCAR.
