Benzema sends PSG packing out of UCL
Aside from Lewandoski, Karim Benzema is one of the most underrated players in the football world at the moment which is unfair to his ability, achievement, and the impact he has on the team Real Madrid.
The French international again proved his worth against a side we can't underrate and tonight's win was a miraculous one for Real Madrid. I wasn't expecting a turnaround because Mbappe getting a goal at Santiago Bernabeu made me lose hope in the team to qualify for the next round of the competition.
The first leg of their round of 16 encounter ended in a win for Paris Saint-German, they dominated Madrid and that was expected because they had the home advantage. It ended 1 - 0 but PSG failed to qualify despite the win in France, thanks to Benzema for the hat trick.
Mbappe got the opening goal of the match in the 39th minute, the opener made almost everyone give up on the Spanish giant but the goal didn't take a pinch out of the home team morale. PSG went into the dressing room at halftime with 2 goals to nothing for Real Madrid in the aggregate which means the home team needed three goals if they will ever progress from the round of 16.
The second half started and only a few had hopes of Madrid getting through to the next round of the competition and a little bit of hope was restored in the 61st minutes, Benzema pulled one back for Real Madrid. Hopes got high again, another goal for Madrid would send the game into extra time since the home and away goal rule doesn't count anymore.
Benzema struck the net again in the 76th minute, it seemed like a miracle was about to happen and it did happen as he struck the third.
Who would have believed that Paris Saint-German would be dumped out of the round of 16, they had the better odds of qualifying but Real Madrid had the determination, and it sent them through into the semi-final of the Uefa Champions League. Madrid have joined the likes of Bayern Munich, Liverpool and Manchester City who already made it through.

He really sent them packing. PSG cannot hold their own down. It's the same story every year for them.

Man, PSG really bottled it this time around. They were so close to winning moving to the next stage. Even if they managed to control the game with their 1-0 lead, it would have been a favourable outcome for them. Unfortunately, they messed it up.
Mbappe should get ready to move to Madrid next season. No dulling
That's true, I felt it would cost them nothing to progress even after Mbappe got the opening goal in Spain. Just like life, sometimes football is unpredictable.
It was a sad night for PSG.
Congratulations to Real Madrid.
Yeah, they really worked hard and were lucky as well. I tip them or Bayern Munich as a favorite for the title.
Well, it's too early to predict that.
But remember that Liverpool FC is still in the game.
I am a Liverpool fan, I don't like giving myself too much hope in some competition because it hurts a lot when the team disappoints.
We are still in the game.
