My Actifit Report Card: January 30 2024 My New Wallet / 新しいお財布

According to the "Strongest Money Calendar" that I recently purchased, today, January 30, is the "Day of the Snake" (Mi-no-hi), which is known as the day when money luck rises.

The best things to do on the Day of the Snake are to visit shrines, appreciate the arts, and buy a new wallet. I have not bought a new wallet for years and have been using the same one for probably 7-8 years now. So I decided to take this opportunity to buy a new wallet. I want to buy a wallet by seeing and touching it in a store, not online. So today I went to Kitasenju.

I first looked around the Marui department store and then went to LUMINE next door, but couldn't find anything I liked. Moreover, I am not at all familiar with brands, so I didn't know if the brands of products I thought were good fit me or not, and I was getting more and more confused and wanted to go home... Yes, this is why I hate shopping😂

However! If I leave here, I will probably forget about the new wallet for a while again. I went back to Marui again to find a new wallet on this "Day of the Snake". And... Finally, I found a beautiful gradation of wallets lined up in front of a store I hadn't stopped by earlier.

There were many color combinations, but these two colors, which were inspired by hydrangea, grabbed my attention. According to the sales clerk, the gradation is all different for each item because it is done by hand. I was torn between the brownish one produced with the image of "ginkgo," but I still liked "hydrangea" because it was unusual. I was shown the stock and chose the one with the gradation I liked best. The inside is also gradated, and each one is still different.

When I got home, my husband had also ordered a wallet online in between remote work ( he had been using a used one he bought on a flea market app since he lost it in a drunken stupor about a year ago). Now our family's money luck is sure to explode, right?

Walking around inside the two department stores, my step count exceeded 5,000 steps. I am happy to have found a nice wallet.

先日購入した「最強金運カレンダー」によれば、今日1月30日は「巳の日」（みのひ）で、金運が上昇する日として知られているそうです。

「巳の日」にすると良いのが、神社の参拝、芸術鑑賞、そして財布の新調です。私はもう何年も財布を新調しておらず、同じ財布を多分もう7〜8年使っています。そこで、この機会に財布を新調することにしました。財布に関してはネットではなく、店頭で見て触って買いたい派です。というわけで今日は北千住まで行ってきました。

最初にマルイを見て周り、その後隣のLUMINEも回ってみましたが、好みのものは見つからず。しかも私はブランドが全く分からないので、良いかもと思った商品のブランドが自分に合うのかどうかも分からず、段々混乱してきて家に帰りたくなってきました…いや、私ホント買い物嫌いなんですよ…😂

しかし！ここで帰ったら多分またしばらく財布の新調のことは忘れてしまうでしょう。せっかくの「巳の日」に何としても新しい財布を見つけなくてはと、もう一度マルイに戻りました。すると、 先ほどは立ち寄らなかったショップの店先に、綺麗なグラデーションのお財布が並んでいるのを発見したのです。

色の組み合わせは色々ありましたが、紫陽花をイメージしたというこの2色が、私の心をガッチリと掴みました。店員さんによれば、手作業のためグラデーションは商品ごとに全て異なるのだそうです。「銀杏」のイメージで製作されたブラウン系のものと迷いましたが、やはり「紫陽花」が珍しくて良い。在庫も見せてもらい、一番好きなグラデーションのものを選びました。中もグラデーションになっていて、やはりひとつひとつ違います。

家に帰ると、夫もリモートワークの合間にネットでお財布を注文していました（一年ほど前に酔っ払って紛失して以来、メルカリで買った中古を使っていたので）。これで我が家の金運は爆上がり確定です？！

マルイ、LUMINE内を歩き回り、歩数は5,000歩を超えました。素敵なお財布にも出会えて満足です。
