Looking into the Luisangel Acuña trade, I believe it was for money, as the Mets will cover the remaining $22 million of Robert's salary and acquire a great player, judging by his performance in the Venezuelan Professional Baseball League. He's also a good defender and a reliable hitter, which will undoubtedly be excellent for the White Sox.

It was 100% for money. The White Sox are on of the cheapest teams in sports.
In one way, yes, it's about money; you save a significant amount, and you also get a baseball player with great qualities for a lower cost. Undoubtedly, it's a good opportunity presented to everyone.
